Summary

Savannah Barnes has never felt more alone. After leaving a friend’s wedding embarrassed and unwanted, she gets caught in a violent storm that sends her down the wrong road. Her car sinks into the mud, the mountains close in around her, and the only sign of life is a light glowing in the distance. The couple who finds her is kind. Warm. Almost too sweet. Their son Jacob is quiet, handsome, and always seems to appear whenever Savannah needs help. For the first time in years, she starts to feel like maybe she belongs somewhere.
