Welcome to Forks
Bella
It was exactly two months ago that I agreed to move in with my dad. It was my sister's idea. She wanted our mom to be able to travel with our step-dad for his minor league baseball career instead of staying back to take care of me and my sister. So now I find myself in my old bedroom preparing myself for my first day of school in Forks.
Knock. Knock. "Hey Bells, you ready for our first day of school in Forks?" "Ready as I'll ever be Emma". As me and my sister made our way down stairs, we heard the front door opening and a series of laughter following. When we got down I saw Billy Black.
"Bella, Emma, I'm not sure if you remember me but my name is Billy Black and I am your dad's best friend" Billy introduced himself . "You remember my son Jacob right?". "We remember him". Emma and I quickly ran down the last couple of steps to hug Jacob. " Jeez, I didn't realize you both missed me so much," " I mean you would have thought the both of you would have returned sooner if you did." The three of us started laughing.
Then Jake took us out to a red truck. This truck belongs to me since Emma can't drive yet. This truck is our ride to school. When we finally reached school I parked in a parking spot a bit far away as to not draw to much attention. This being a small town everyone would know everything about everyone. Us being the new girls and also the daughters of Chief Swan made us the talk of the town.
We came to school a bit early because we had to go to the office to collect our schedules. Knock, Knock. "Come in!". " Hello , I am Emma Swan and this is my sister Bella". "Oh yes, you're the chief's daughters". "My name is Ms. Johnson and here are your schedules and slips that you need to get your teachers to sign". " Feel free to come here if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them although you won't need to".
" Hiiiiiiii" . I wonder where that came from? I turned around to see a short girl. She looks like a pixie. "My name is Alice Cullen and I will be your guide and new best friend". Ok. That's not creepy at all. "Shall we get going?" the pixie asked. "Let's go" Emma said in a very enthusiastic way. Those two will get along alright.
"Do you need to see our schedules?". "Nope". "I had them make your schedules the same as mine except I had to put one of you in biology". " So Bella I hope you like biology,". "Don't worry my favorite brother, Edward is in that class". "He is really hot, I think you will like him". What! I don't need her setting me up! Especially on my first day! " Thanks but I don't need you to set me up".
Overall the day was going great. Alice introduced me and Emma to some of her friends that we had in our classes. I was having a good day but I think Emma was having more fun. It is lunch time so after putting our stuff away in our lockers, which Alice conveniently got them to put us on both sides of her locker, Alice, Emma and I made our way to lunch.
Emma and I had just gotten our food when we saw Alice ushering us over to her table. While walking there I heard a lot of people gasp. I don't know why. The people in this town are just weird. As we got there Alice said "Ignore the gasps, people are just surprised that the new girls are sitting with the popular kids".
Wow. The popular kids want us to sit with them. I just skyrocketed from new girl who will turn invisible in a few weeks to permanent popularity. "Guys this is Bella and Emma Swan" Alice introduced us to her siblings. They were all nice except for Rosalie who kept on glaring daggers at me. Japer was nice. He is Alice's boyfriend but he always looks like he is in pain. Emmet is really childish and also huge and muscular. He is Rosalie's boyfriend. He and Emma got along great
Just then another guy came up and sat down with us. He is the definition of hot. His hair is messy but it only makes him look hotter. OH MY GOD! He smiled at me! "Hi, I'm Edward". Wow did the hot guy just talk to me! " Uh, Hi I I'm Bella" Oh my god did I just stutter. Nice going Bella. What a great first impression.
After I completely embarrassed myself, I caught a glimpse in Alice's eyes that said I told you so. I just glared at her. Not so long after everyone was talking animatedly except for me and Rose. I kept my focus on my food and Rose just sat their and looked pissed.
Soon lunch was over and it was time to go to class. I checked my schedule and the next subject I had was biology. Great. Just great. I went to class a little early so that I wouldn't have to sit next to Edward. When I got there I gave my slip to the teacher to sign. "Welcome to Forks Bella, please take a seat next to Mr. Cullen. Great I have to sit next to Mr. hot guy. Wait. Did I just call Edward Mr. hot guy? I have a serious issue.
"Hello" Edward said as I sat down. "Hello" I said back. Thankfully the teacher started talking so I could stop. The teacher came around and gave us 2 petri dishes. He said that there were two different kinds of bacteria in them. We had to take turns looking at each one and describe the bacteria in our books. When I went to get a petri dish, my fingers touched Edwards. I quickly retracted my hand and Edward just chuckled. I chuckled to. Awkwardly.
I cannot believe I touched his fingers. Though now that I think about it they were kind of cold. "Why are your fingers so cold?" Oh my god Bella you should not have asked him that. " Why are my fingers so cold?". "Well I Will explain everything to you". "After school, when you come to my house". Wait, who said that I was going to his house? "Who told you that I was going to your house?". I was really curious. I am going to kill Alice if it was her.
"I did". Huh. He did. Before I could ask him anything else the bell rang. He packed his things and told me that he would see me after school. After school I was walking to my locker with Alice and Emma, mostly cause their lockers were right next to mine, when I saw Edward standing right next to my locker. "Looks like someone has a boyfriend". "Seriously Emma!", "Grow up!".
