Introduction
I was almost done with the paperwork, but I just couldn’t finish it. It was late and I was tired, yet too stubborn to give myself a break. I heard Rovi calling me to her room. Thank god.
“Where is dad?” She asked me, covered in her white blankets. I didn’t know what to say to this. Damn, I was never supposed to be a parent.
“Is he drinking again?” She asked. Spot-on, truly her father’s daughter. I didn’t know what to say. “You promised to tell me.” She said again.
“I never told you that.” I said. At least I hope I didn’t.
“No! You said you’d tell me why is he always so sad.” She said. Of that I am guilty.
“It’s a really long story.” I said. And boy how long it was! “Let me show you.”
I went to my room and brought the VR lenses, tinted blue with a transparent warp. She put them on and I gave the command. “Do you see anything?” I asked.
“It’s you, talking with a blond man.” She said.
“That’s Jason .” I said. Oh, the memories. Once upon the time, the whole world was hanging from his balls.
