━Penelope Vaughn has lived next door to Callan Wood for as long as she could remember.

At a young age, Penelope found a young boy appearing on her next door neighbour’s doorstep. The Wood couple, who had a daughter of their own, let him in without much fight and welcomed him in as if he were one of their own. Penelope never questioned it whenever she went over to see her best friend Ruby Wood. Just like the Woods’, she treated him as if he had always been there. That was when she found out his name—Callan Lorenzo Koji.

But as the pair developed into their teenage years and began to spend more time together in the little Penelope-Ruby-Callan trio, Penelope began to see Callan more as a man. She found his love for rock music fascinating, and she often found herself ogling his rock band sessions when she went jogging past the open garage.

But all good things come to an end, it seemed.

The older Callan got, the less involved it felt like he was becoming with Penelope. At least in public. But most nights, he would climb up the ladder Penelope’s father had left in the garden, and he would crawl into Penelope’s room to sit up all night talking about everything and nothing all at once.

After one fateful gig at a local pub, Callan’s band hit it big when they were performing some of their singles in progress. A man from America saw their act and offered them a chance to follow along a larger band as an opening act where in return they would begin to establish their own fanbase—and make some money.

Callan, not wanting to be so far from Penelope for so long, decided to keep a part of her close and officially named his band Penelope’s Nightmare. And that was the beginning of the end of their friendship. Or so Penelope feared.

Callan has spent six months away, and almost everything had changed. He had legally changed his last name to Wood; Penelope had unfortunately lost her father; and Callan was finally coming home.

Now I began writing this ages ago. I love Callan Wood with my whole heart. He is the little shit that every parent hopes their children does not end up as, or end up dating in the future. But he’s also the biggest sweetheart to his loved ones.

I watched Queen of The Damned last night and the soundtrack was so good that it gave me so many ideas to continue this story. So... Here it is again.
