"I really enjoyed the unique premise of "Ashes to Empathy"! The story kicks off strong with Moth, a newly "born" moth-like mutant hybrid escaping a horrific lab in a post-apocalyptic zombie world. Her childlike innocence and empathy stand out beautifully against the brutal setting, and the budding connection with Ezra feels like a promising slow-burn. The mix of monster elements, survival horror, and themes of humanity in monsters (and vice versa) is fresh and compelling. The action scenes are visceral, and the world-building with mutants and the ruined landscape hooked me right away. I especially loved Moth’s perspective and her bond with Rondonal. That said, the writing could use some polishing—there are quite a few typos, grammar slips, and awkward phrasings that pull you out of the story occasionally. With tighter editing, this would shine even brighter. Overall, this is a solid start with a lot of heart and potential. I’m definitely following for more chapters and can’t wait to see how Moth’s empathy changes things in this harsh world. Great job, MothNyx—keep going! ❤️"
