What is your opinion?

And the Echo continues ...

"Meet Tristan Valerius, a powerful billionaire trapped by duty, family expectations, and a carefully controlled life. Meanwhile, pediatric resident Evelyn Sinclair spends her nights comforting sick children and worried parents with remarkable kindness. As an arranged introduction between their influential families is set into motion, the stage is prepared for a devastating relationship based on control and humiliation ...or maybe the two will discover that love can develop between the most desperate of circumstances. For starters, I must say I love how author Squid develops Evelyn's parents morals so nicely. Usually in these forced-marriage stories the parents (father in particular) are ruthless and cruel. Insistent on marriage no matter what damage it may do to their child. But in this novel both parents are sympathetic to Evelyn's plight are willing to offer her a reasonable way out. Well done, Squid. Also the contrast between the cold, transactional world of the Valerius family and the warmth of the Sinclair household stands out immediately. I liked this novel and I sincerely recommend that everyone who loves romance books (with a little bit of darkness) give this one a try. "
