Prologue

The night was cold and quiet.

Inside a place called Astra Haven, many people were trapped behind locked doors and high walls. From the outside, it looked like a normal care center, but inside, it was a nightmare. Cruel men controlled the place and treated people like they were nothing.

Among the trapped people were a seven-year-old boy named Jungkook and a five-year-old girl named Alessia.

Alessia’s mother, Naelia, was also trapped there. Since Jungkook’s parents abandoned him when he was very young, Nael always took care of him too. She gave him food when he was hungry, protected him when he was scared, and treated him like her own child.

But deep inside, Naelia knew one thing.

If the children stayed in Astra Haven any longer, their lives would be destroyed forever.

That night, when the guards finally fell asleep, Naelia quietly woke Jungkook up. Her hands were shaking badly, and tears filled her eyes. Little Alessia was sleeping peacefully in her arms, unaware of everything happening around her.

“Jungkook…” Naelia whispered softly. “You have to take Alessia and escape from this place.”

Jungkook looked at her with frightened eyes.

Naelia quickly held his shoulders.

“Please,” she cried quietly. “I can’t watch you both suffer here anymore. These people are not humans… they are monsters. Alessia is still too young. You both are. If you stay here, they’ll ruin your lives.”

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she placed Alessia into Jungkook’s arms.

For a moment, Jungkook stayed silent. He was only seven years old, but the fear in his eyes slowly turned into determination.

He gently wiped Nael’s tears away with his small hands.

“nael, Eomma… don’t cry,” he whispered softly. “I promise I’ll protect Blossom. I’ll take her far away from here. And when I grow up, I’ll come back for you too.”

Naelia let out a broken smile after hearing his words.

She softly kissed Jungkook’s forehead before pulling Alessia close one last time. Tears fell endlessly from her eyes as she hugged her daughter tightly.

Alessia was too young to understand anything. Half asleep, she only smiled innocently.

“Where are we going?” she asked quietly.

Jungkook held her tiny hand carefully.

“To get ice cream,” he whispered.

A small smile appeared on Alessia’s face.

Naelia covered her mouth to stop herself from crying loudly.

After a few moments, she quickly opened the back gate of Astra Haven and helped the two children escape before anyone could see them.

Jungkook held Alessia’s hand tightly as they ran through the empty streets in the middle of the night. Cold air hit their faces while their footsteps echoed loudly around them.

Jungkook was breathing heavily, but he did not stop running.

Suddenly, voices echoed behind them.

The guards had noticed they were gone.

“There they are!”

Fear filled Jungkook’s eyes. He immediately pulled Alessia closer and started running faster. Alessia stumbled slightly, scared and confused, but Jungkook refused to let go of her hand.

“Don’t look back, Blossom,” he said quickly. “Just run.”

The men kept chasing them through the dark streets.

Jungkook’s heart pounded painfully inside his chest. His legs hurt, and his breathing became uneven, but he kept running as fast as he could.

Then suddenly...

Bright headlights appeared in front of them.

A car.

Everything happened too fast.

The loud sound of brakes echoed through the empty road before the car crashed into them violently.

Their small bodies were thrown across the street.

Jungkook landed painfully on the cold ground. His vision became blurry, and blood slowly spread beneath him.

In the distance, he could barely see Alessia lying motionless.

Fear filled his weak eyes.

“Blossom…” he whispered brokenly.

Darkness slowly covered his vision.

And then everything went black.

This story is going to be very interesting so, stay tuned lovies ♥︎

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters.
