Prologue
I ran and ran for my dear life. I knew i needed to keep running for fear of what they would definitely do to me if they caught up with me. They were five in number. I kept running but my legs seemed to be getting heavier. It seemed they had suddenly grown a mind of their own and won't obey any of the commands I was giving them. I felt tired and drained from the running but still I kept on moving. I looked behind me and could see that they were starting to catch up with me. I needed to run faster but couldn't seem to do so, as if something was holding and please me back to them. I stumbled on a rock and went down in a heap. I looked and saw them above me, leering at me and making fun of me. I started pleading with them but it fell in deaf ears. I screamed but I knew no one was coming because we were alone in the woods.
Lisa woke up with a start, she could hear the screaming from her sister's room.
"Oh God, not again", she said to herself. "This is not going like I planned. It's high time I took action. She needs to heal and move on".
She stood up from her bed and went to her sister's room. She opened the door and the room was dark except for the rays of moonlight that shone in her room from the window in the direction of the bed. She could see her sister tossing wildly about the bed and screaming for all she was worth. Even from where she stood, she could feel her sister's pain and misery as she tossed about the bed and tears dropped from her eyes. She turned on the light and went to her bed side. She shook her awake gently.
"Kianna, wake up"!
"It's only a nightmare". She shook her harder but the screaming had stopped.
"Kianna, you have to wake up now, it's just a nightmare. Wake up"!
She woke up with a start, badly shaken from the nightmare. She took in her surroundings to make sure it really was a nightmare, then her eyes rested on her sister and she burst into tears.
"Shhh, it's okay. Everything will be alright. You will survive this". Lisa comforted her sister till her tears subsided.
" We would both survive this. We would work it out. I will always be here for you", she said.
"Thanks sis, I really don't know what I would have done without you", said Kianna.
"It's alright, let's go back to bed and we will talk better in the morning"
"Will you stay with me"?, Kianna asked
