Not too Ugly

"The premise of not being handsome enough is very relatable to most readers, and yet it wasn't developed with the typical tired trite character or plot construction. For example, not only did Jake think he was unattractive (outside), but then that low self concept influenced his (interior) belief that he was also dumb (character complication). As provided in the telling, everyone else saw Jake as strong, honest, and decidedly good (moral). Therefore, he is tacitly redeemed even with (the sin of) his deception, Omega playing Beta, which drove the plot in many dangerous but exciting ways. Then, (plot development) as nature takes its course, a lady needs a savior; a beta needs an alpha, so, while Jake protects Erin, like a mother would her child (nature), Rico, an Alpha, is drawn to Jake (fake Beta), and will become his lover and savior. Effective dialogue colored the characters and made them more believable since it was delicious for the reader to appreciate Jake's angst and the dangerous complications (tension for the reader) as he tried to keep his secret in these interactions...cloak and dagger. Finally, there was lots of sex between Jake and Rico, accurate and to be expected, though more longing from each, versus satisfaction each time, would feel more like a relationship/love than over-powering nature. Love the writing, look forward to your stories, always. "
