I'm at work trying to finish up for the day. Every day I dedicated two hours to watching Korean music videos. My coworker walks over to me and starts nit picking my life.
Liam: You like K-pop?
Me: Yeah, what's wrong with that?
Liam: There just a bunch a girly pretty boys. They're not real men.
Me: Some woman like a man that's more in touch with his feminine side.
Liam: Whatever.
Me: Look, I don't judge how your white and listen to rap! How outside of work you like to sag your pants like you're from the hood. So, what wrong with me being black and liking Korean music?!
Liam: Nothing! Jeez forget I said anything.
He walks off and I finish up my work. I had about 2 hours to grab something for dinner and get home. I stopped at the grocery store to grab a few things to last the next few days. I make it home with about an hour to spare. I start making some basic ramen, but I added some Korean spices to it. I get settled and cut on the tv. I crawl closer to the tv sitting on the living room floor and slurp away on my noodles. I was in love BTS. I was glued to the screen. My eyes were locked on Jungkook who happened to be my favorite. His piercing always drew me in, but he was younger than me, so I always felt weird having a crush on him. I was standing up to put my dish in the sink when another video starts playing. I didn't manage to catch the song name or the artist all I knew was I was drawn to the tv.
Me: Who the hell is this?!
My eyes were more glued to the screen more than watching BTS. His dance style was so street, so refined. His voice was so soothing. I never understood what was said in the songs, but the Korean made it flow so much better. I was honestly lost in the back-and-forth between the Korean and English. I was loving the mesh. As the video was ending, I saw the artist's name was Jay Park and the song was called "Yacht". I immediately went on YouTube, looking him up. I started clicking through videos. Damn near every song I clicked on made me want to dance. The more videos I clicked the more I liked him.
Me: That's new!
I clicked on a video and saw he was dancing with a girl that wasn't Asian. I had never seen that in a video. I started looking up live shows and he had his shirt off, covered in tattoos. I was a sucker for tattoos. I go back to his videos and find one called "Aquaman". Him in the all-white was doing something to me and the hairstyle suited him so well.
Me: Fuck! He is something else!
I start googling his age. What I found was crazy. At least to me. He was 39, only 6 years old than me but looked like he was in his early 20's. Younger than Jungkook who was 28. I went crazy started googling girlfriends, wife's, kids. But nothing. He had never been married, no relationship information, no kids. It was so shocking I had to google if he was gay and to my surprise, he wasn't.
Me: So, no kids, never married, and no relationships scandals?! Fuck! That alone is wet dream.
Clicked on a video called "All I wanna do". I played it again only because I managed to learn the chorus to it. I then saw the video labeled the same song but unofficial. I clicked on it which happened to be live footage of shows as well as the English version to the song.
Me: OMG! Did he just say put those panties to the side?!
Not gonna lie though, if he said that to me I would gladly do it. I keep listening to the song.
Me: Popping that pussy making it purr like a kitten?!
I cover my mouth. I have never heard lyrics like that from a Korean artist before and yet, I was digging with it. I spent the rest of the night listening to his music.
I woke up the next morning to him still playing in my ear. I start getting ready for work I was officially hooked on him. I wasn't even listening to anything else anymore. Just him. Dancing everywhere in the house no matter what I was doing. I head to work and still blasting him in my ear. I get to work and go straight to my desk. My coworker comes up.
Liam: Still on your fucking K-pop shit?
Me: What is your problem with K-pop?!
Liam: It's Stupid.
Me: Is it really stupid or is it stupid because I'd rather fuck one of them before you?
Liam: You rather fuck a small dick guy? Be my guest!
Me: Not every black guy is hung like a horse. Not every white guy's dick is small and pink.
I stand up. I wasn't hearing anymore of his shit. This was all a bruised ego because I didn't let him get any when we were both drunk at the Christmas party. Just as I'm passing by and lean close to his ear.
Me: Really oozing small dick energy there buddy. Hatin' ass bitch boy.
I walk off. I was going crazy in my mind. I had never said anything like that before. Or that mean in my life before but fuck it felt good! I went home early and I try working on some of the dance steps he does in his videos. I was drawn to this man in a very unhealthy way. I looked up his tour schedule and saw he was coming to Florida. I couldn't miss this opportunity. I went ahead and both a ticket. I just had to stay alive for a month, and I would get to see him in person! I marked my calendar and, put in a request, to take the day off from work. I wasn't planning on getting stuck a work doing a late shift when he was going to be performing. I wanted everything to be perfect for that night. I went out and bought a new outfit. I was gonna be ready when the day came.
