Chapter 1 3:17 AM

A 21-year-old university student wakes up at exactly 3:17 AM every night after seeing same nightmare:A girl standing in rain… covered in blood… whispering “You were supposed to save me .”At first he ignores it.Then one day…he sees that exact girl in real life.Same face, Same clothes,Same voice,And suddenly every dream after that starts predicting future event accidents, deaths, betrayals, disappearances. But here’s the terrifying part,Every time he prevents one tragedy… another worse one happens instead.

What he had seen in the dream was that the girl dies in a road accident. And when he saw her in real life, she was really standing at a signal. He started to figure out what was about to happen to her — a fast-moving vehicle would come rushing toward her, its brakes failing due to some technical fault. It would hit her, and she would die.

He was just putting everything together when he saw the signal turn red and the vehicles stop. She was the only pedestrian standing at the signal, so she started crossing the road while using her phone. When she was halfway across, a fast-moving truck, crushing other cars in its path, came rushing toward her.

He ran toward her to save her, grabbed her tightly, and jumped to the side. When the driver saw them both in the middle of the road, he quickly turned the steering wheel, and the truck crashed into a nearby cement barrier. The driver died on the spot.

He was not happy that he had saved one life, because another had been lost. He blamed himself for the driver’s death. He stood up and ran toward his house. He was wearing a hoodie, so nobody had seen his face.

But when he reached home, he became emotional, thinking that if the truck had hit her, she might only have been injured, and the driver might not have died. All these thoughts were taking over him.

Suddenly, there was a knock at his door.“Honey, dinner is ready” his mom said.

His mother’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts.“Honey? Dinner is getting cold.”He quickly wiped his eyes and answered:“Yeah mom… coming.”But his hands were still slightly shaking.Because for last few minutes one question kept repeating inside his head:“Did I save someone… or kill someone else instead?”

He slowly walked toward dining table.Simple middle-class home. Warm lights. Food smell filling the room. His mother smiled while serving food.“Long day?”He forced small smile.“Yeah… kinda.”She immediately noticed something strange in him.“You okay?”He nodded quickly and sat down.

But suddenly—the sound of metal crashing flashed again inside his mind.Truck smashing barrier. Glass shattering driver’s lifeless face. His appetite disappeared instantly. That night he couldn’t sleep.Every time he closed eyes…he saw two versions of same event:

one where girl dies,

one where driver dies instead.

At exactly 3:17 AM,his eyes opened suddenly.Heavy breathing,Sweat on forehead. Then he noticed something terrifying. His phone screen was glowing.Unknown Number,One new message. He slowly opened it.And his blood froze instantly. The message contained only one sentence:“Fate doesn’t like being interrupted.”
