Chapter 1

ELENA

I’m nervous! Starting today I’m going to study here, at Ravencrest Institute.

Classes are starting today itself.

I headed towards the hostel area. The area was quite large and gave off rich vibes, and it suits me.

I was assigned room number 113, and the worst part I would have to live with a roommate.

“Miss, please show your identity card!” The guard at the building said.

I pulled out my identity card, “Here. I’m a student.”

He stepped aside of my path and let me pass.

I went towards my room which was on 2nd floor of the building!

I rang the door bell. A short while later, a girl wearing the school uniform came and opened the door.

The girl looked quite confused after looking upon me.

“Hii! I’m your new roommate.” I said.

“Ohh, come in” She took me inside and showed me my room

“Get ready quickly or you’ll be late.” She said and left.

Why does it matter to her whether I go early or late??!

I took a good bath and then got ready after wearing my school uniform.

The school uniform consisted of a white shirt and black skirt, along with a black tie with white strips.

I came out of my room and saw breakfast laid out on the table in dining area.

I was eating breakfast when the girl came in and sat down to eat breakfast with me.

“What’s your name??” She asked.

I realised that I hadn’t even introduced myself to her yet, “Oh, sorry I didn’t introduce myself.. My name’s Elena Knight, and I’m from New York!”

“Oh Okay. So which grade are you in??” She asked.

“I’m in 11th grade.” I answered.

“Oh, it means I’m your senior! I’m in 12th grade.” She said.

I wasn’t able to understand what to say.. because till date I have never given respect to anyone and now do I have to respect her!?!

So I just bowed my head.

“But you don’t have to give me respect because we are roommates now.” She said suddenly.

“Oh.. okay.” I said.

“Now since it’s your first day, I’ll drop you to your classroom.” She said and left.

I quickly finished my meal, grabbed my bag, and went outside.

My roommate was standing outside, “Let’s go!” She said, and we headed towards the classroom.
