Chapter 1
Isaac ran all the way to the stables , hiding out ,bruises printed all over his skin ,he was diamond black but the scars were too loud to be hidden
"I'm sorry thomas, I'm really sorry" he cried quietly, holding his breath so that the horses won't screech or make noises
"Isaac!!!, come out here you animal!!! Isaac!! I'm gonna kill you nigga!" Thomas went on shouting, calling out for his slave . Isaac was shaking because he knows that Thomas flogs till he sees blood.
"I'm sorry thom-"
"Stop apologizing Isaac" Isaac got statled by George who has been standing there with the horses when he came to hide
"Pls , I'm actually sorry George, don't report me to Thomas please!"
George looked so remorseful and sorry ."I won't tell him, no worry .just pls stop crying"
Isaac relaxes and suddenly looks lost while looking up at George. "He's gonna kill me . I'm already dead".
"You're not.... I'm gonna do something, just stay here till nightfalls and I'll come tell you when you can come out, okay?" He nods yes ."forgive my brother, he's a half done child who hates himself " he was smiling, trying to crack a joke but Isaac couldn't make a happy expression so George composes ."I'll come back"
"Thank you sir" he Leaves Isaac there, goes to fix things but Isaac was already thinking about running away but he would get killed if he was found without an owner.

George goes into thomas' room and finds the other slaves Being punished
"Thomas ,we need to talk"
"Okaaaay " he tells them to leave the room ."what do you want brother?'
"You need to dial it down with the punishments.... you're gonna get us arrested for damaging properties"
"The bible says sparing the rod spoils the child"
"Most of these slaves are older than you !"
"I've never beaten a slave who's older than I am "
"What about Isaac?" Thomas stands up , looking intimidating and scaring George in the process. "You're talking to me this way becuz of that Nigga "
"What did that Nigga do!?"
"That Nigga's penis rose up when he was bathing me. How disrespectful....an act against God!"
George looked confused but yet , barely moved ."how about he becomes my personal slave ,that way he won't do that shameful act you hate so much...deal?"
"What if he does it to you instead??!"
"That's not the point , I've made things easier for you thomas ,all you've gat to do is make a deal or not"
He sighs ."deal Georgie.... Gud luck"
George breathes out relief and leaves Thomas' room , heading towards the stables to speak to Isaac

Isaac immediately starts hiding when he hears foot steps
"It's me , don't be scared " George spoke like he was referring to an animal ."come out boy"
Isaac comes out from the horse stable , frowning ."I'm sorry sir but I'm not a dog "
"I'm sorry , forgive me......urhmm, we should probably stay here for a while till the situation dies down"
"Okay sir". They sat together and were talking, laughing and gistin, not knowing night had already fallen and time had gone so fast
"When I'm done with school, I'm gonna help out the community and do everything in my power to make sure girls can go to school aswell"
Isaac kept smiling, showing admiration
George clears his throat awkwardly ."what about you, what would you like to do?"
"You mean after being a slave?"
"Well, sorry I forgot... I'm so stupid, I'm sorry"
"I wanna own my own farm ,go back to Africa, maybe my friends back home would help me out with that "
"I would love to help you Isaac" George looked hopeful ."I Know you'll do great"
"Thank you" they kept staring at each others eyes ,the fire lighten up in the stable kept bouncing off Isaac's thick skin, making him look gold like .before Isaac knew it , George leaned in to kiss him ,he lets him. George held Isaac's hair mid kiss , Isaac could tell that it was his first kiss becuz it felt violent but warm. George left no space for air ,it felt like he was scared that if he stops, it would never happen again. Then suddenly, George pushes Isaac and hits him , Isaac looked back at George, confused . George looked at Isaac , scared and shaking
"Oh no, I'm sorry " George says when he sees that his hit gave Isaac a bloody eye ."I'm gonna go. Sorry"
Isaac sits there , confused, scared and in pain ."did i do something wrong sir?"
"This never happened, no one should know about this Isaac or I'll kill you" he looked so scared that Isaac was more worried than threatened..
