Chapter 1

The coldness and power ,

It was a dark night under a full moon.

The city was alive with flashing lights, loud music, and the endless laughter of young people drowning themselves in drinks and temporary happiness.

The moment I stepped into the crowded bar with my friends, the noise wrapped around me like a storm. Everyone around us was gossiping about luxury brands, expensive gifts, and rich families. My friends were still teasing me about the diamond bracelet I had received for my birthday only a few days ago.

I laughed along with them—until my eyes landed on her.

A tall girl stood alone near the counter, dressed completely in black. Her short dark hair framed a face that looked unreadable, almost emotionless. But it was her eyes that caught me.

Cold. Sharp. Powerful.

The moment I looked at her, an uncomfortable feeling settled deep inside my chest.

I couldn’t explain it.

It felt as if something invisible was pulling me toward her.

Before I even realized what I was doing, my feet were already moving in her direction. The closer I got, the more nervous I became. My heart beat strangely against my ribs, yet I still forced a small smile.

“Hi,” I said softly.

For a second, she didn’t respond.

Then slowly, she turned her head and looked at me with those icy eyes.

Everything around me seemed to stop.

The music faded. The laughter disappeared. Even the air felt heavy.

When she finally spoke, her voice was low and cold enough to send chills through me.

“What do you want?”

The harshness in her tone made my confidence disappear instantly. I nervously touched the back of my neck and looked away for a moment.

“I just… wanted to talk,” I answered quietly.

Instead of softening, her expression became even colder.

“I don’t have time for rich princesses like you.”

The words hit harder than they should have.

Without waiting for my response, she picked up her drink and ignored me completely, as if I didn’t even exist.

I stood there frozen in embarrassment.

No one had ever treated me like that before.

People usually admired me, respected me, or at least pretended to. I was beautiful, wealthy, and used to getting attention wherever I went.

But her?

She looked at me like I was nothing.

And somehow… I couldn’t stop thinking about her.

Maybe it was curiosity.

Or maybe it was the strange feeling hidden behind those cold eyes.

Even after I walked back to my friends, my attention kept drifting toward her again and again. Something about that rude waitress fascinated me in a way I couldn’t understand.

As the night grew darker, the crowd inside the bar became even louder and more reckless.

Around midnight, I noticed her putting on her coat before quietly leaving through the back exit.

Without thinking, I followed her.

The cold night air hit my face as I stepped outside. She walked alone beneath the pale moonlight, her hands buried inside her coat pockets.

I stayed far enough away so she wouldn’t notice me.

But suddenly, a group of drunk boys blocked her path.

I quickly hid behind a nearby tree, my heart racing as I watched the scene unfold.

The boys laughed drunkenly, surrounding her like predators.

But she didn’t look scared.

Not even a little.

Instead, she stared at them with the same cold expression I had seen earlier inside the bar.

“Move,” she said flatly.

One of the boys smirked before grabbing her wrist.

What happened next took less than a second.

A sharp crack echoed through the empty street as she punched him hard enough to send him stumbling backward. The force of the hit shocked everyone—including me.

The other boys instantly stepped away from her.

Fear replaced the confidence on their faces.

And then, without another word, they ran.

I remained frozen behind the tree, staring at her in disbelief.

At that moment, I realized something terrifying.

That girl wasn’t ordinary at all.

      (On going).
