Accidental meeting
"A new city is a new self — same soul, fresh story."
Like most students, Maria also came to New Delhi for her future. She had cracked the CUET and got into Delhi University. Right now she was on the train, watching the scenery outside. It was her first time coming to this new city, and also her first time traveling solo.
"Please pay attention, the train is about to reach New Delhi," came the announcement.
She was a little nervous, but excited too.
She first waited for the train to empty out, because there was too much of a crowd. When she got the chance, she picked up her bags and trolley and tried to find the exit of the platform — but she couldn't find it.
Then she saw a young man standing there. She went up to him and asked, "Uh, excuse me, may you please tell me the exit of the station?"
The young man replied, "Uh, it's like — go straight and then turn right."
She couldn't hear him clearly as the platform was too crowded, so the young man bent down a little, as he was 180 cm and she was around 152 cm.
He was about to repeat himself when suddenly a rush of crowd came towards them. She fell into him, he lost his balance, and they both fell to the ground — and in that moment, she realized her lips were touching his.
When she saw this , she quickly get up and take her bags and ran like a little rat as it was her first kiss with a stranger
