Summary

In the year 2098, humanity depends on a powerful artificial intelligence system called VEIL β€” a digital network that controls security, memories, education, and even emotions. People believe VEIL protects the world from chaos. But 17-year-old Eryn Vale begins seeing terrifying visions of events before they happen. At first, everyone thinks she is mentally unstable. Until her visions start becoming real. When Eryn discovers a hidden group known as The Visioneers, she learns the truth: VEIL is secretly rewriting human memories to control society. Now Eryn must uncover who created VEIL, why the world’s history was erased, and whether humanity deserves the dangerous truth. But the deeper she goes, the more horrifying her visions become… Because in every future she sees β€” someone close to her betrays her.

Chapter,,The Girl Who Saw Tomorrow

Rain poured endlessly over the city of Novaris.

Neon lights reflected across flooded streets while giant digital screens watched the citizens from every building. Above the skyline, surveillance drones moved silently through the storm like mechanical birds.

Everything in Novaris was connected to VEIL.

Every heartbeat. Every memory. Every decision.

And nobody questioned it anymore.

Except one girl.

Eryn Vale sat quietly near the back of her classroom, staring at the rain outside the giant glass window. Around her, students wore silver neural bands connected directly to VEIL’s learning system.

Information moved into their minds instantly.

No books. No teachers. No thinking.

Just obedience.

β€œEryn.”

Her attention snapped back.

The classroom AI flickered to life in the center of the room.

β€œYour focus levels have decreased by thirty-two percent.”

Soft laughter spread through the class.

Eryn lowered her eyes. β€œSorry.”

But she wasn’t distracted.

She was afraid.

Because the headaches had returned.

For weeks now, strange flashes invaded her mind without warning β€” pieces of places she had never visited… voices she didn’t recognize… screams echoing inside dark tunnels.

And every time they happenedβ€”

they felt real.

Too real.

Suddenlyβ€”

The world froze.

The classroom vanished.

Eryn gasped sharply.

A new vision crashed into her mind.

Dark smoke.

People screaming.

A subway station.

Fire exploding through underground tunnels.

A digital clock blinking:

18:44

Blood covered the floor.

Someone grabbed Eryn’s arm inside the vision.

A terrified voice whispered:

β€œYOU HAVE TO WAKE UP.”

Thenβ€”

A massive explosion swallowed everything.

Eryn screamed aloud and fell from her chair.

The classroom instantly returned.

Students stared at her in silence.

The AI’s calm voice echoed overhead.

β€œMedical instability detected.”

Eryn’s breathing became uneven.

Her hands trembled violently.

It felt real again.

Too real.

β€œAnother episode?” one student whispered.

β€œShe’s broken.”

β€œVEIL should reset her memory.”

Eryn grabbed her bag and rushed out before anyone could stop her.

The school corridors glowed white and silver, perfectly clean, perfectly controlled.

But Eryn felt like she was suffocating.

The digital clock on the hallway wall displayed:

17:52

Less than one hour before the explosion.

β€œNo…” she whispered.

It wasn’t real.

It couldn’t be real.

Right?

β€”

Outside, the city moved endlessly beneath the rain.

Massive holograms floated above the streets.

TRUST VEIL. TRUST PEACE. TRUST THE SYSTEM.

Eryn ran through crowds of people toward the underground transit station.

Her heart pounded harder with every second.

The closer she gotβ€”

the stronger the vision became.

Smoke.

Fire.

Screams.

When she finally reached the station entrance, hundreds of people were already descending underground.

Families. Workers. Children.

All walking toward death.

Eryn froze.

What was she supposed to do?

Tell them she saw the future?

Nobody would believe her.

Suddenly her eyes landed on the digital time above the entrance.

18:41

Three minutes left.

Panic exploded inside her.

β€œSTOP!” she screamed.

People turned toward her in confusion.

β€œDON’T GO DOWN THERE!”

A few passengers stepped back uneasily.

Others ignored her completely.

A security drone floated closer.

β€œCitizen,” it said calmly. β€œYou are causing public disruption.”

Eryn looked desperately at the crowd.

β€œYou have to listen to me!”

Nobody moved.

The drone’s red scanner focused directly on her face.

β€œEmotional instability detected.”

Thenβ€”

Eryn heard it.

A low metallic sound from deep underground.

Exactly like the vision.

Her blood turned cold.

β€œNo…”

The ground trembled.

And one second laterβ€”

BOOM.

A violent explosion ripped through the station beneath the city.

Fire burst upward through the tunnel entrance.

People screamed as shockwaves shattered nearby windows.

Smoke flooded the streets.

The entire station collapsed inward.

Chaos consumed everything.

Eryn stumbled backward in horror.

It happened.

Every single detail.

Exactly the same.

Sirens screamed across Novaris.

Drones filled the sky instantly.

People ran in terror.

But through the smoke…

Eryn noticed someone standing completely still across the street.

A hooded boy.

Watching her.

Not the explosion.

Her.

Rain fell over his dark hood as neon lights reflected in his eyes.

Then he spoke quietly.

β€œSo the visions finally started.”

Before Eryn could reactβ€”

he disappeared into the crowd.

And high above the city…

Inside VEIL’s central control tower…

A massive screen suddenly flashed red.

WARNING: UNAUTHORIZED FUTURE DETECTION DETECTED.

For the first time in yearsβ€”

VEIL had become afraid.
