Sub‑Sexes (Biological Castes)
Human biology evolved after space colonization. In addition to male and female, three secondary sexes emerged:
· Alpha – Natural leaders, physically and mentally dominant. Can impregnate Betas and Omegas, but cannot impregnate other Alphas. Alphas can only be impregnated by Lycans. SSS Alpha is the highest and rarest classification.
· Beta – The most common sub‑sex. Female Betas can bear children (by Alphas, male Betas, or Lycans). Male Betas can only impregnate female Betas. Betas are the workforce and backbone of society.
· Omega – Highly empathetic and fertile. Both male and female Omegas can become pregnant (by Alphas or Lycans), but cannot impregnate anyone. Often used in political alliances. Most compatible with Alphas.

Lycan
A rare, evolved form of Alpha. Lycans are triggered by extreme stress, life‑threatening injury, or profound emotional trauma. They are vastly stronger and faster than any other sub‑sex. A Lycan can impregnate any sub‑sex (Alpha, Beta, Omega, male, female, and even other Lycans).
The Lycan Curse: Without a biologically compatible partner to ground them, a Lycan’s body overheats and deteriorates. Most die within 2–5 years of transformation unless they find a compatible Alpha and form a permanent bond.

Compatibility & Bonding
· Compatible Partner – An Alpha whose pheromones and biology can withstand a Lycan’s heat. Compatibility is rare and cannot be predicted by genetics alone. Emotional history may play a role.
· Heat – A Lycan’s cyclical period of intense pheromone release and sexual need. Heat can last up to seven days, with waves of increasing intensity. It can be triggered by proximity to a compatible Alpha.
· Sympathetic Heat – When a compatible Alpha’s pheromones spike in response to a Lycan in heat, causing mutual physiological need.
· Bond (Permanent) – A lifelong pairing between a Lycan and a compatible Alpha. Once bonded, the Lycan’s lifespan extends to normal length. Bonds are rare and legally recognized as marriage.
· Mark – A small scar left by a bite (usually on the neck). Alphas mark Lycans to signal protection; Lycans may mark Alphas in return as a sign of deep trust. A mark is not a full bond but a powerful emotional and cultural gesture.

Social & Political Context
· SSS Alpha – The highest Alpha classification, extremely rare. SSS Alphas have superior pheromone control, strength, and political value. Their bloodlines are fiercely protected.
· Pure‑Bloodline – Families with no Lycan ancestry. They control most political power and view Lycan‑bloodlines as unstable.
· Lycan‑Bloodline – Families with a history of producing Lycans. Often stigmatized, but also feared and secretly courted for military strength.
· The Alliance – The inter‑planetary governing body. Hosts annual galas and oversees military, trade, and legal matters.
· The Trial – A public legal proceeding for crimes such as conspiracy, fraud, or administering illegal suppressants. Sentencing can include life imprisonment.

· Celestial Concord Station – A neutral space station used for diplomatic events and military gatherings. Features a grand ballroom, observation deck, and automated security lockdown systems.
· Dorian’s Home Planet – Not yet named; a wealthy, politically influential world ruled by old bloodline families.
· Caelan’s Military Base – Undisclosed location where Lycan soldiers are trained and deployed.

Other Terms
· Pheromones – Chemical signals unique to each sub‑sex. Alphas and Lycans have the strongest pheromones, which can trigger attraction, submission, or heat in others.
· Suppressants – Illegal drugs that dampen Alpha pheromones, making the target appear weak or incompetent. Used in the conspiracy against Dorian.
· The Accident – The near‑fatal crash that triggered Caelan’s Lycan transformation. Details remain classified.
