Chapter 1: beginning

A sharp slap echoed through the room, followed by the mocking laughter of a woman. Long blonde hair spilled over her shoulders, her red silk gown hugging her figure, paired with black heels that clicked against the floor. Her makeup was sharp, almost dangerous — yet somehow, he found it fascinating.

Behind her sat a man, a cigarette resting lazily between his fingers. He blew out a slow puff of smoke, his long legs crossed as his glowing blue eyes stared at me like the sea under moonlight. When he spoke, his voice sent shivers crawling down my spine.

Man: “Cermila.”

I swallowed hard. How did I get here?

The last thing I remembered was being pushed into the river.

“W-Who are you?” I managed to ask, my voice trembling. The sting from the slap still burned across my cheek.

The man leaned back slightly, a dark smile tugging at his lips.

Man: “I’m Hell, sweetheart.”

My blood froze.

There was only one person who called himself Hell.

My eyes widened in pure terror, my body shaking — not from the cold, but from fear itself.

“V-Vector Blackhood…” I whispered.

Even saying the name felt like signing my death sentence.

A man who ruled the Undercity.

A man who could stop gunfights with nothing but a glare.

A man no one dared challenge unless they were begging for death.

And now… I was kneeling right in front of him.

The woman laughed again, softer this time, and my blood ran even colder.
