Chapter 1 His POV
People always called me quiet.
Rude.
Heartless.
Maybe they were right.
But none of them knew what I saw when I was fifteen.
The night my life was ruined forever.
I still remember my mother's trembling hands gripping the steering wheel while rain poured endlessly outside the car window.
Her mascara was ruined, tears falling one after another as she kept driving faster.
My father had an affair.
Those four words destroyed her completely.
She kept laughing and crying at the same time, cursing the woman who stole her husband away from us.
I sat there silently, unable to understand what to do.
Then suddenly—
A bright light flashed before us.
A deafening crash echoed in my ears.
Everything turned upside down.
Blood covered the shattered glass.
My body hurt, but none of it mattered when I looked beside me and saw my mother struggling to breathe.
Her trembling fingers held my hand tightly.
Hatred filled her eyes even in her final moments.
“Destroy her…” she whispered painfully.
“Destroy the woman who ruined our family…”
And then her hand went limp.
Right in front of my eyes… my mother died.
That night, something inside me changed forever.
I stopped believing in happiness.
I stopped believing in people.
But I made one promise to myself—
One day, I would find that woman.
I would destroy her perfect little family…
make her suffer the same pain my mother suffered…
And kill her in front of her own child.
