Chapter 1 The Beginning of Revenge
A luxurious black sedan stood silently in front of Haneul University, one of the most prestigious universities in Seoul.
Inside the back seat sat an impossibly handsome young man.
His features were flawless—like an idol who had stepped out of a television screen.
His dark eyes were calm… but beneath them burned something far more dangerous than anger.
Revenge.
He spoke in a low, steady voice.
“Kim… are you sure everything is ready?”
His personal assistant, Kim, handed him two identification cards.
“Yes, sir. Both identities are prepared.”
The young man examined the first card.
Name: Jiyon Min KimAge: 28Occupation: CEO of JK Group
Then he looked at the second.
Name: Jiyon Hwa Min KimAge: 18Occupation: First-Year Pharmacy Student
He raised an eyebrow.
“Will anyone recognize me?”
Kim smiled confidently.
“Impossible, sir. Your disguise is perfect.”
It was true.
His flawless skin had been slightly darkened.
A few realistic scars covered parts of his face.
Round glasses softened his sharp features.
His expensive tailored suit had been replaced by a simple student uniform.
Even his hairstyle had changed.
The powerful CEO had vanished.
Standing in his place was nothing more than an ordinary university student.
Jiyon stared at himself in a small mirror and smirked.
“I really am incredibly handsome.”
Kim sighed.
“You’re incredibly narcissistic.”
Jiyon turned sharply.
“What was that?”
Kim immediately straightened.
“I said… you’re probably the most handsome man in the world.”
Jiyon nodded proudly.
“No. That title belongs to Kim Seok-jin.”
Both of them laughed.
Then Jiyon’s smile disappeared.
His eyes turned cold.
“Let’s begin.”
Twenty years ago…
His parents were murdered.
His family company, Jin Group, was stolen.
His uncle had taken everything.
And everyone believed the young heir had died that night.
But they were wrong.
He survived.
And now…
he was back.
Not as a CEO.
Not as a businessman.
But as a student.
A ghost walking through the university his family once owned.
His mission:
Expose the hidden corruption.
Destroy his uncle.
Take back what belonged to him.
Jiyon stepped through the gates of Haneul University.
For the first time in twenty years…
his heart raced.
“Finally… university life.”
He smiled.
Then his expression froze.
He looked at his watch.
He was fifteen minutes late.
“Damn.”
He sprinted toward the lecture hall.
He threw the door open.
Silence.
Every student turned to look at him.
At the front stood an elderly professor.
The professor slowly raised his head.
“You.”
But Jiyon wasn’t paying attention.
He was too busy admiring the lecture hall.
“This really is the best part of life…”
Suddenly—
Thwack!
A piece of chalk hit his shoulder.
“Are you sleeping?!” the professor shouted.
Jiyon snapped back to reality and bowed quickly.
“I’m sorry, Professor.”
The professor walked toward him angrily.
“Do you think this is your house? Walking in whenever you want?”
The students burst into laughter.
Inside his head, Jiyon muttered:
What an annoying old man.
The professor glared.
“Name. Student number.”
“Jiyon Hwa Min Kim. 105342.”
Suddenly…
his body froze.
A memory flashed before his eyes.
Ten years ago.
His first day at university.
Late again.
Half asleep.
A professor shouting:
“Your name?!”
Young Jiyon mumbled:
“Jiyon… no… Min… Hwa… Kim… wait…”
The entire class exploded with laughter.
Back to the present.
“Are you drunk?!” the professor yelled.
“Get out! And report to the dean after class!”
Embarrassed, Jiyon turned and walked out.
But just outside—
Crash!
He bumped into a girl.
She almost fell.
Her eyes flashed with anger.
“Are you blind?! Watch where you’re going!”
The professor looked at her.
“You too! Out!”
She blinked in disbelief.
Then—
Bang!
She walked straight into the lecture hall door and fell.
The students burst into laughter again.
She looked up at Jiyon, expecting help.
Instead—
he grabbed her wrist…
and dragged her across the floor out of the classroom.
Her eyes widened in shock.
She stood up slowly.
Then—
she smiled.
A terrifying smile.
Before Jiyon could react—
SLAP!
The sound echoed across the entire hallway.
Even the students recording the scene froze.
The slap had been brutal.
Jiyon touched his cheek in disbelief.
The girl stared at him coldly.
“I’m Rion Jin Mi.”
“The daughter of a major corporate chairman.”
“And you…”
she stepped closer.
“You think this is funny?”
“You entered this university on a scholarship, didn’t you?”
Her voice sharpened.
“Be careful.”
“One word from my father… and you’ll disappear from this university.”
She flipped her hair.
The strands brushed across his face.
Jiyon stood there…
completely stunned.
Not by the slap.
But by her audacity.
And for the first time in years…
he smiled.
“This university…”
he whispered.
“…might be more interesting than I thought.”
To be continued…
