Dancing Through Time and Space

"This is a brilliant little vignette in the classic style of The Twilight Zone, where nothing is completely explained--we're just thrust into a beautiful yet nightmarish world and it ends, without further comment. I love the idea of how a portal through time and space leads to the most mundane world of all--our own! Or a version of our own world/past, at least. It also reminds me a bit of 2001, when Dave himself travels through time and space to land in a hotel, complete with television and cereal (of sorts). Also nice is how the narrator quickly realizes she is becoming one of them, whatever that is. It moves quickly towards its terrifying conclusion, and is full of nice details and a strong sense of atmosphere . It's a very exciting story to read. My only criticism would be a few sentences which read slightly too formally for a story like this, such as "Its blue light illuminates the place to which it took me." This sounds a little textbook: maybe instead, "The new world was framed by blue light," or less passively, "Its blue light colored my first glimpse of this world." But minor points like this aside, it's a wonderful story and a very unique look at what lies on the other side of the mirror of time and space!"
