Chapter 1: Babysitting Brunie
Rook Griswald Halden couldn’t believe he was assigned to babysit a clone of Brunhilde “Brunie” Eule. Rook himself was formerly a seasonal rogue time traveler, trying across various worlds and other strange places. But he never imagined Rudolfo Hernandez would ask him to babysit someone like Brunie.
“Can’t believe I am stuck with you!” cried Rook.
“Hey, beats better than doing janitorial jail work” laughed Brunie.
“Figures” sighed Rook.
Both of them were on a shuttle heading towards the space station ran by the Department of Relativity – the year 2205 AD. Brunie was excited that she finally got to graduate and go on a time traveling mission with none other than Ty “Turbo” Knight.
“You should control yourself, I’m NOT to join you on this mission” said Rook.
Brunie brushed it off, as they docked on the space station, Tyler was waiting for them along with Director Trace and Rudolfo Hernandez.
“You sure it’s wise we have someone like Brunie join us?” asked Director Trace.
The director had read her profile, and it seemed odd on what she really was being somewhat of a strange futa character. The director didn’t seem to care judging Brunie for who she was, so long as she performed her duties. Once the shuttle docked, Rook and Brunie emerged.
“Ah, Rook very good that you decided to go with us on this one” said Rudolfo.
“Like I have any choice” sighed Rook.
Rudolfo and the director then escorted Tyler and Brunie towards the briefing room. Rook got a chance to actually explore the space station.
“Shouldn’t we have him join her?” whispered Director Trace, “We don’t want to screw things up.”
“Relax, I’m sure Rook won’t mind and if he does I will give him permission to intervene” continued Rudolfo.
Rudolfo knew what he was doing – providing Tyler with a stress test on a wild subject like Brunie. Tyler was aware of what Brunie was with her profile.
“Lady and gentleman” said Rudolfo as they stepped into the briefing room, “this mission will define the course of your actions here at the Department of Relativity.”
Director Trace then brought up the court of Kublai Khan, the 14th century.
“We have reason to believe that a Celestial Ninja leader Madame Jie has inserted herself as part of Kublai’s entourage under an assumed name” continued Director Trace.
“Whoa, she’s hot!” cried Brunie.
The director ignored Brunie’s remarks, but Rudolfo and even Tyler were a bit annoyed. Rudolfo knew his plan was working perfectly.
“Anyway, I want you two to head to the 14th century, you can retrieve your supplies then head over towards to the temporal area with the time chambers” continued Director Trace.
“Yeah, mission time!” laughed Brunie.
Tyler could see how ecstatic she was in comparison from others who went on adventures with him in the past. Not even his own magical clone Thad “Dark Ty” Knight behaved like this. Rook glared at Brunie in the hallway with pure disgust that he was forced to babysit someone like her from now on to make up for all the crimes he committed in this time period.
