Eunice
EUNICE : stands in front of a mirror, quietly crying. Her eyes are red and full of doubt as she stares at herself.
She slowly wipes her face but the tears keep falling.
MOTHER
Eunice! Come downstairs and get ready for school!
Eunice doesn't respond immediately. She takes a deep breath, still looking at her reflection.
This is her first day at a new school-after her father's job transfer moved the family from Lagos to Abuja.
She turns away from the mirror, trying to compose herself.
MOTHER
Eunice! You'll be late for your first day at Greenville High School!
Eunice finally gathers herself, picks up her bag, and exits the room.
EUNICE slowly comes down the stairs, still quiet and emotional.
Her MOTHER looks at her with concern.
MOTHER
Have you had breakfast?
Eunice shakes her head softly.
EUNICE
I'm not going to eat.
Her mother watches her for a moment but says nothing more.
MORNING
Eunice boards a bus heading to her new school.
She sits by the window, staring outside as the city passes by.
This is her first day at Greenville High School after her family relocated from Lagos to Abuja.
Her face shows a mix of fear, sadness, and uncertainty.
NEXT SCENE: EUNICE ARRIVES AT SCHOOL
EXT. GREENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL - MORNING
A busy school environment. Students are chatting, laughing, and walking in groups.
A school bus stops. EUNICE steps down slowly, holding her bag tightly.
She looks around-everything feels new and overwhelming.
Eunice lowers her head slightly and continues walking, trying not to draw attention.
NEXT SCENE: EUNICE ARRIVES AT SCHOOL
EXT. GREENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL - MORNING
A busy school environment. Students are chatting, laughing, and walking in groups.
A school bus stops. EUNICE steps down slowly, holding her bag tightly.

Students glance at her as she walks through the gate.
Eunice lowers her head slightly and continues walking, trying not to draw attention.
INT. PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE - MORNING
EUNICE stands nervously in the principal's office.
The PRINCIPAL sits behind a desk, going through her file.
After a moment, he looks up.
PRINCIPAL
Mr. Emma, please take her to her class.
MR. EMMA (her class teacher) nods and stands up.
MR. EMMA
Come with me, Eunice.
INT. CLASSROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Students are seated and the class is noisy. Mr. Emma enters with Eunice.
The room slowly quiets down.
MR. EMMA
Class, we have a new student today.
All eyes turn to Eunice.
She feels nervous but tries to stay calm.
MR. EMMA
Please introduce yourself.
Eunice hesitates for a moment, then speaks softly.
EUNICE
My name is Eunice.
She looks down slightly, feeling uncomfortable.
Mr. Emma gestures toward a seat.
Eunice walks to her seat and sits beside JOY.
Joy looks quiet and withdrawn. Some students whisper that she is "the ugliest girl in class."
Eunice notices the tension but says nothing.
She sits down slowly, adjusting to her new environment.
INT. CLASSROOM - CONTINUOUS
Mr. Emma steps out of the classroom.
Immediately, the room fills with murmurs and whispers.
OLIVIA leans toward her friend, CHARLOTTE, glancing at Eunice.
OLIVIA (whispering)
She doesn't look good at all...
CHARLOTTE (whispering, smirking)
Yeah... look at her face. So many pimples.
They both laugh quietly.
Eunice hears them.
Her expression changes. She looks down, pretending not to notice-but her eyes begin to fill with tears.
She grips her bag tightly, trying to hold herself together.
Beside her, JOY notices... but stays silent.
INT. CLASSROOM - CONTINUOUS
Charlotte suddenly stands up and walks toward Eunice.
The class grows quiet, sensing drama.
CHARLOTTE
Why do you look like that?
Eunice freezes, shocked and embarrassed.
CHARLOTTE
Why are you so ugly?
A few students begin to laugh. Others whisper.
Eunice lowers her head, completely humiliated.
Joy watches, uncomfortable but unsure of what to do.
INT. CLASSROOM - MOMENTS LATER
The classroom door opens.
LIAM walks in with his friends, MICHAEL and JACKSON. They are laughing about something.
Liam pauses briefly, noticing the tension in the room.
LIAM
What's going on?
Charlotte smirks and points toward Eunice.
CHARLOTTE
The new girl.
Liam looks at Eunice.
Eunice slowly looks up... their eyes meet.
For a brief second, she's lost in his appearance.
EUNICE (V.O.)
(softly)
He's... so handsome.
But then-
Liam scoffs.
LIAM
Seriously?
He laughs.
Michael and Jackson join in.
LIAM
And they put her next to Joy? That's just perfect.
More laughter spreads across the room.
Eunice's expression breaks. This hits deeper.
She quickly looks down, completely crushed.
Joy clenches her fists, hurt but silent.
INT. CLASSROOM - LATER
The school bell rings.
Students quickly return to their seats.
The teacher walks in, and the class becomes quiet.
ENGLISH TEACHER
Good morning, class.
CLASS
Good morning, sir/ma.
The lesson begins. The teacher teaches English, writing on the board while students copy.
Eunice sits quietly, distracted and withdrawn.
Joy occasionally glances at her.
INT. CLASSROOM - LATER (BREAK TIME)
The bell rings again.
ENGLISH TEACHER
Alright, class. That's all for today. Enjoy your break.
The teacher exits.
Immediately, the classroom becomes noisy again.
Charlotte suddenly stands up and walks to the front of the class like she owns the room.
CHARLOTTE
Attention everyone!
The class slowly quiets down.
She smirks.
CHARLOTTE
I have an announcement...
She points at Eunice.
CHARLOTTE
The crown for the ugliest girl in class has officially changed...
A pause.
CHARLOTTE
From Joy... to Eunice.
The class bursts into laughter.
Eunice freezes, completely humiliated.
Joy sits quietly.
For a brief moment, she looks... relieved.
But then her expression changes to sadness.
She looks at Eunice-seeing the same pain she has carried for so long.
(Joy's emotion is mixed: relief... and guilt.)
She lowers her head.
Because she knows...
They have been bullying her for a long time.
Eunice's eyes fill with tears.
She can't take it anymore.
INT. CLASSROOM - CONTINUOUS (BREAK TIME)
The laughter slowly dies down.
Charlotte steps closer to Eunice, still in control.
CHARLOTTE
Oh... and there's something else you should know.
Eunice looks up slowly, confused and scared.
CHARLOTTE
Every new student has rules.
She begins to pace like she's announcing something official.
CHARLOTTE
Rule number one... you clean the classroom every day after school.
Some students nod, pretending it's true.
CHARLOTTE
And rule number two...
She smirks.
CHARLOTTE
You have to stay in the restroom for three hours during break.
A few students laugh.
CHARLOTTE
That's how things work here.
Eunice looks around the class, unsure.
EUNICE
(softly)
Is that... true?
The class responds together.
CLASS
Yes!
They laugh again.
Eunice believes them
humiliation... and silence.
Joy watches her leave, guilt written all over her face.
EXT. SCHOOL GATE - EVENING
Students leave in groups, laughing and chatting.
EUNICE walks alone.
Her uniform is slightly damp. Her face is dull, eyes heavy from crying.
She avoids looking at anyone.
INT. BUS - EVENING
Eunice sits by the window.
She stares outside, lost in thought.
Her reflection appears faintly on the glass-
Distorted... broken by the moving light.
She looks at it... then quickly looks away.
INT. EUNICE'S HOUSE - EVENING
The door opens.
Eunice enters quietly.
Her MOTHER is in the living room.
