Summary

She returned to her hometown to remember the boy who drowned. But the problem is- no one remembers him the same way. Faylinn Vale is certain of three things: Vito Shaw was her boyfriend. He died at the lake. And her mother was blamed for his murder. But when Faylinn returns home, the story begins to fracture. People correct her memories. Her journal contains entries she doesn't remember writing. And the lake keeps appearing in her dreams like it never stopped watching her. Then she receives a sealed case file. It says the truth was never a drowning. It says she was never alone that night. And it says Vito Shaw might still be alive. But the more Faylinn remembers, the less certain she becomes about what she actually is- a victim... a witness... or something else entirely. Because memory is not truth. And the lake remembers differently.
