THE FORGOTTEN

laying at the grass looking at the blue beautiful sky, listening to the birds like they're singing a lullaby.-Ha...i wish it could be like this forever.

-but the silence broke when jake called out to me

"Lily! Lily!-lilian de'alfeus! Are you ignoring me or are you just deaf?!"-jake glared at me from above the tree branch where he sat.

"Ugh! What do you need jake?! Can't you see I'm trying to have a moment in my life?!"-i shoot him a glare as if saying 'how dare you'

"We need to go back now!"-jake said

"Now?..."

"Yes princess,let's go back before his majesty,your father got back and found out i let you go outside the castle!"-jake hop down from the tree branch and dusted himself

"So let's go now princess,shall we-"-before he can finish speaking i dissappeared from his sight only to see me walking deeper to the woods.

"Princess?! Lily! Where are you going?"

"Ah! Jake! Quick come!"-i called out to him.

Jake frowned but still followed me and catches to me.

"Where are we going? I swear if his majesty finds out i- lilian,am i seeing this real?"-jake pause,eyes widening.he couldn't believe what he is seeing right now.

"Yep! Come on lets follow it!"-i grabbed his hand and walked faster.

"Wait lilian we don't know where it's leading us into! This might be a trap!"-jake yanked his hands and turned his back on me and started to walk back out to the woods.

"Wait jake! This is a rare find! If we follow it maybe we can find more interesting things!"-i catches to him and caught his wrist.

"Come on jake!"

But before jake can open his mouth,we heard screaming.screaming for help. We looked at each other confused,we ran out the woods only to find our kingdom on fire,black smoke covering the blue sky. Womens,mens,and childrens on the ground covered in blood,no signs of life. What flashes to my mind is my father hoping he still isn't back to escape this tragic event.

"Father...jake! I have to go back to castle to know if father is back!"

I didn't hear a single response from jake instead he grabbed my arms and dragged me to an alley and hid behind the craters.

"Shh..."-Jake's eyes turned cold,his hand on his sword as he covered my mouth

Then i hold my breath as a soldier passed by the alley we're hiding at. I saw the crest on it's armor. Its the crest of the kingdom regness.

-all clear here commander!

-alright then let's get moving!

I realized that the soldiers are checking every area to see if there are still alive citizens of elyenor.

Jake and i hid until it's clear that the soldiers are gone. I walked out the alley tears streaming down my face as my face turned pale at the sights of the path filled with blood. Womens,mens,and childrens on the ground no signs of life there's no other people left alive only jake and i. But i still have high hopes that my father is still alive. I didn't hesitate to run towards the castle.

“Lilian! Wait!“-jake tried to catch me but i stopped running infront of the gates jake looked at me with worried expression until he looked up to the gates only to see a terrifying sight…

I saw my father's head hanged at the gate. My eyes widened,my blood boiled. Different emotions flashes over me. Sadness,madness,confused. I didn't know what to do,my kness broke down on its own. I just stared at my own father's head,wanting to kill whoever did this to my kingdom,to the people i cared,and to my father.

“Lily?…lilian…hey princ-”-jake tried to reach out to me but before he can do that. The ground shakes on its own and the ground splits into two.

“Lilian! Watch out!“

I only realized what's happening when jake called out to me. I quickly stood. But as i turned to Jake the ground beneath him opened.

My hand reached out to him but there was nothing I could do,the ground swallowed him whole and then everything went blank.

I woke in my bed.

-ha... it's just a dream...

I ran a hand to my messy hair

"I kept having the same dream every night..."

But actually it wasn't really just a dream. The same dream that happens every night,is my tragic past 7 years ago.
