A seat beside a stranger :
She never expected anything special from this trip.
Just a quiet journey... away from everything.
An introverted girl, sitting by the window seat, lost in her own thoughts as the plane filled with strangers.
And then he sat beside her.
They didn't know each other.
They didn't even talk.
But for him... it was love at first sight.
He didn't say it. Not even once.
The plane hadn't taken off yet when her phone rang.
It was her best friend.
Saved as "Boyfriend".
He saw it.
And misunderstood everything.
A boyfriend?
His smile faded... just a little.
But then he listened.
And slowly, he realized the truth.
Just a best friend.
And somehow... that made him smile again.
A soft announcement followed, asking all passengers to switch to airplane mode. The journey officially began.
But somewhere between silence and clouds...
she suddenly wasn't okay anymore.
Pain hit her unexpectedly.
She wasn't prepared.
And he noticed.
Without asking too many questions, he called the air hostess.
Helped her reach the restroom.
But the pain didn't go away.
No medicine. No solution.
Just silence.
So he did the only thing he could.
He offered her his headphones.
And they listened to music together... without speaking a word.
Until she finally fell asleep...
on his shoulder.
And in that moment...
he didn't move at all.
Neither of them knew... that a seat beside a stranger was just the beginning.
The moment the plane landed, the cabin slowly filled with noise again.
People stood up in a hurry, collecting their bags and checking their phones.
But she stayed quiet.
The pain had lessened a little, yet her body still felt weak.
He noticed.
"Are you feeling better now?" he asked softly.
She looked at him for a moment before giving a small nod.
It was probably the first proper sentence they had exchanged during the entire flight.
And somehow... it felt strangely comforting.
After getting off the plane, she sat down on one of the airport seats to drink some water.
That's when she noticed it.
His headphones were still around her neck.
Her eyes widened slightly.
She quickly stood up and looked around the crowded airport.
And then she saw him.
Not too far away.
Almost as if he hadn't left yet.
She walked toward him and held out the headphones.
"I think these belong to you," she said quietly.
A small smile appeared on his face as he took them back.
"So... you're finally awake," he teased softly.
For the first time, she smiled a little too.
"Thanks... for earlier," she said after a short pause.
"It's okay," he replied. "You looked like you were really struggling."
An awkward silence settled between them.
Not uncomfortable.
Just unfamiliar.
Then he looked at her luggage before asking, "Where are you going now?"
She adjusted her grip on her bag.
"I actually need to find a hotel first."
He blinked in surprise.
"Really? Me too."
For a second, neither of them spoke.
Then he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly before saying,
"If you want... I could help you find one."
She hesitated.
Normally, she would've refused immediately.
But this was also the same person who stayed beside her the entire flight without expecting anything in return.
So after a few seconds of silence...
She quietly nodded.
And just like that-
two strangers walked out of the airport together.
Maybe some people enter your life unexpectedly... exactly when you need them the most.
