Nostalgic Nightmare (Prologue)
Midnight Ridge.
The all-American small town somehow still stuck in the late ’80s and early ’90s, even now. Sounds nostalgic, right? It isn’t. The local kids call it the town that never moves… and the place no one ever leaves. From the outside, it looks like the definition of the American dream — old diners glowing under neon signs, Friday night football games, faded pickup trucks, and neighbors who still wave from their porches. But beneath the surface, Midnight Ridge has carried a darkness for a long time.
Secrets. Lies. Disappearances.
Shadows in the night that stand a little too still. Whispers from longtime residents about strange events nobody says too loudly. As long as you ignore the feeling in your gut and focus on the bright small-town charm, you’d never notice the rot underneath it all. But sooner or later, every town like this reveals its true face. And Midnight Ridge was finally ready to show hers.
