The sky was not black; it was the color of a bruised heart.
The air tasted of ash and unfinished promises. Somewhere in the distance, the mountains screamed with the wind, but here, in the shadow of the pines, there was only a suffocating silence. A hand, trembling and stained with the red of a dying sun, reached out. A touch that was meant to last a lifetime was slipping away through fingers like grains of sand.
No words were left. Only the sound of a breath—shattered, shallow, and fading into the frost.
“I will find you. Even if I have to wait until the mountains turn to dust.”
The fire rose. The world broke. And the soul was torn in two.

In a quiet 2-BHK apartment, the city’s hum is a distant memory. Inside one of the rooms, a boy lies trapped in a sleep that offers no rest. Something is hunting him—not a monster, but a memory that doesn't belong to his mind.
He is in a deep forest where nature is beautiful and wild. In the middle, a lake mirrors the sky like a silver shield. Someone is sitting by the water’s edge, their back turned to him. The boy moves forward, his heart hammering. He reaches out, desperate to bridge the distance, but just as his fingers are about to touch—
The world snaps.
The boy wakes with a violent jerk, gasping for air. He sits up in the dark, taking a long, shaky breath. He wipes the cold sweat from his brow and whispers into the silence:
“Phir se woh sapna... Kaun ho tum? Kyun main har waqt sapna mein tumhe dekhta ho?”("That dream again... Who are you? Why do I see you in my dreams all the time?")
The clock on the wall ticks. The dream is gone, but the ache in his chest remains.
