Knights of Guinevere (Autistic Reader insert)

Narrator: Once upon a time, and this was a very long time ago indeed. There was a princess... (shoes tapping) ...trapped in a tall, tall tower and locked away by complicated machines that ran on blood and fear. She spent her days playing games, pretending she wasn't scared. But she was in dire need of rescue.

A young boy named James sat next to an android on a bed. The looks like a cross between a master bedroom and a child’s room. It was big and full of toys

The boy was patching up the android. He was humming a cheery tune and gave the android a juice box.

A young girl walked into the room and the boys happy demeanor changed to one of fear

Olivia Park: James? Is she hurt?

She looks to the broken Guinevere android, lying down on a bed, her insides open

James: Oh! I-I-I was just patching her up! She’ll be o-

Young Olivia: Don't worry, I can make her better.

She starts fixing the android, and sounds of metal crunching can be heard. James looked away in fear, while holding the androids hand. A pneumatic door opens, and her father, Orville enters the room

Orville: Olivia, dear, won't you and your friend come with me?

Olivia lifts her head slowly, cuts to them towards the elevator, hand in hand, with Guinevere following closely behind. James stayed close to the Android.

Orville: Go on. Take a look.

Orville snaps his fingers, then, one by one, machines begin to come alive. Power whirring can be heard.

James stood next to the android and his father. A a warm, slender older gentleman with rosy cheeks, a prominent pink cherry nose, and a large, kind mustache.

Narrator: It was beautiful. (fireworks started) a world of possibility, where fantasies become a reality. Where tall tales became indisputable truths.

Orville: It's all for you, Olivia. Everyone who comes and goes will eventually be under your watchful care. Happy birthday, sweetheart. I hope this can make up for... I don't think I need to say it. Olivia, your future can be as bright and beautiful as all this. Embrace it. Let your past fade away. You're here now. Do you understand?

Young Olivia: Mm, Yes. Thank you for the present, Papa.

There was then the sound of organs squelching. James and his father stayed behind

Young Olivia: Come, Princess.

Past Guinevere android opens her eyes. Olivia pulls at Guinevere's exposed insides, causing her to yelp in pain. James reached out to help, but his father lightly grabbed his hand and shook his head sadly

Young Olivia: It's own new kingdom. Isn't it pretty?

Past Guinevere: Yes. It's so very, very..

Before she could complete her sentence, Guinevere's eyes begin to twitch in various directions, along with her body compulsing unnaturally. She winces in pain, and whimpers as she staggers forward. Glitching can be heard. Guinevere grabs James and his dad, runs toward the balcony, and dives in, her guts still attached to her.

James: AHHHHH!

Orville: Shit, Security!

Young Olivia: It's okay, Papa. They'll bring them back, And when they do... I fix her again.

Narrator: Yes, it was so very long ago, and no one ever heeded the Princess' prayers for rescue. And the ones who tried, suffered. Will she ever escape? Will she ever find her knights?

Past Guinevere is shown falling while holding James and his dad, her hair moves she opened her two eyes

Melancholy, pensive music plays. Montage plays out. Transition to a pencil sketch of Gwen while there are concept notes, in red pen, that read: "This point feels too violent let's brainstorm", "Centre pupil + keep dilated = more appealing", "Nowrinkles", "Eyes not symmetrical, pls fix", all of which signed off by a certain "O." Then, a shot of Guinevere, with half of her face being disassembled, with the other half seemingly in pain, can be seen.

Afterwards, a redesigned Guinevere, along with a teenage Olivia, wave to a crowd, holding a teenage James, who looked like he’d cry, with the backdrop advertising a movie titled "Space Princess Guinevere and the Wishing Star". More movie posters, such as "Space Princess Guinevere: The Last Star Pup", and "Washed Out" are shown, the latter on a billboard. Then, a train appears, with promotional artwork, featuring Guinevere, advertising a cereal called "Space Puffs", though vandalized. A shot of various Guinevere costumes, intended for children aged 3-4, are present.

Then, a computer, inside a room filled with Guinevere merchandise is seen, its screen lit up with a "Park Planet News" headline reading "Live action remake greenlit". Various comments, mostly hateful and inappropriate, and some spam, can be seen scrolling on the other side. Then, there is a magazine reading "CHAOS AT THE CASTLE!", allegedly containing "uncensored photos", of a brother attempting a "prank" at Planet Park. It is noted to be made with "100% Rock Paper". Under it is another headline, reading "Parents Shocked!" because of "Newborn babies born blue!". Then, various advertisments are shown, in holographic form, some showcasing Guinevere, and related media, others warning of a disease called "Blue Lung" being "on the rise," above it, an advert for insurance for the said disease. Then, a shot of Guinevere, riding on a float and waving to guests at Park Planet. And, finally, a shot of Olivia working on her now-damaged Guinevere android, in the lower labs.

Cut to a dark room, containing a single arcade machine. Footsteps can be heard, as three children enter the room. Curious music plays. A frog robot is placed on the machine's button, a wire connecting it to a screened console which, depicts a frog, and, upon fully loading, reads "HACKED". The frog on the screen's tongue reaches towards a pixelated Guinevere plush, now reading, "TARGET LOCKED". The children gaze up in anticipation as the crane reaches toward their desired item, which, once grabbed, is dropped prematurely. Young Frankie bangs on the floor in frustration, and, upon a failed second attempt, she and a young Andi kick the machine in desperation while young Y/N held her hand. Upon failing the third try, they give up, and walk away, but young Frankie bumps into someone along the way. Their device dings, and the lights click on.

Guinevere: Well, hello little ones. I'm Princess Guinevere. What are your names?

Peaceful music plays. Young Frankie sits on the floor, stunned, while young Andi drops her device on the ground in awe. Young Y/N held the fox plushy and looked up at her in surprise. Guinevere scans them, and, upon doing so, red circles briefly appear in her eyes.

Guinevere: Francesca, Y/N and Andrea, from M-7.

She kneels down to Young Y/N

Guinevere: What lovely names. Are you lost?

Guinevere reaches towards young Y/N, and twirls his hair. When Guinevere pulls away, young Y/N reaches for her hand. Y/N gives her his plushie.

Guinevere: For me?

He nodded

Guinevere held the you, seemingly impressed by the boy’s kindness, and looks back at him affectionately.

Guinevere: (whispers) Thank you.
