"I really enjoyed this story. When reading it it’s written in that melancholy narrative similar to the movie Sin City. When keeping that in mind and reading it in that manner makes it more enjoyable. I did find the beginning a touch confusing as right after the introduction of the MMC it jumps into a timeline farther into the story but eventually came back to the beginning. It confused me somewhat but I continued to read assuming it would eventually come together, which it does. I liked the ending and did battle with thinking it could include more but NO I do like the ending just the way it’s written. Absolutely a truly good, enjoyable read. I had trouble putting it down, good thing it’s not an overly long story. Highly recommend it 👍"
Couldn't put it down
"This was a fantastic romantic suspense that had me hooked from the opening chapters. It balances danger, mystery, humour, romance, and plenty of spice without ever feeling like it loses sight of the story. The chemistry between the two main characters is believable, and watching their relationship develop against the backdrop of an ongoing investigation kept me turning the pages. There were enough twists and moments of tension that I genuinely wanted to know what was going to happen next. My only real criticism is the point of view. The story opens from the male lead's perspective before switching to the female lead, and from that point on we never really get inside his head again. I found that a little disappointing because I really enjoyed his voice at the beginning and would have loved to experience more of the story from his perspective as their relationship grew. Aside from that, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read. If you like romantic suspense with high stakes, strong chemistry, and a generous amount of spice, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a go. A well-earned ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me."

"But that's about it.. Short reads are difficult to develop plot wise - plots need to pack a punch from the get go or it has to be triple x-rated from the first paragraph - securing reader attention isn't easy. It has promise. Perhaps consider a future re-write for a longer read."
