"Bro!! You know what happened yesterday?!"

Dev practically burst into the classroom.

Noah looked up from her notebook.

"What now?"

"You know that girl from tuition?"

"Which one?"

"The one who acts all innocent and sweet."

Noah shrugged.

"There are like a hundred girls like that."

"This one got caught."

Now she had everyone's attention.

Nora closed her book.

Eva looked up from her phone.

"What happened?" Noah asked.

Dev grinned.

"Oh, this is going to be good."

She dropped into the seat beside Noah and lowered her voice.

"So yesterday, around 8 p.m., our Miss Innocent was seen with a boy."

"A boy?" Noah asked.

"A boy," Dev confirmed.

"And who saw them?" Nora asked.

"Her own relative."

The table went silent.

Eva slowly put down her phone.

"That's unlucky."

"Unlucky?" Dev laughed. "That's just the beginning."

Noah shook her head.

"Go on."

"The relative told her parents. Her parents got mad and called the tuition teacher."

Now everyone looked interested.

"They actually called?" Noah asked.

"They did."

"And now?"

"And now the entire thing has reached tuition."

Nora leaned back in her chair.

"She's done for."

"Exactly!" Dev said. "Imagine walking into tuition after that."

Eva winced.

"I'd transfer schools."

"You'd move countries," Nora corrected.

"Fair."

The four of them burst out laughing.

Before Dev could continue, the classroom door opened.

Their teacher walked in.

The laughter died instantly.

"Books out," the teacher said.

A chorus of groans filled the room.

Noah turned to Dev.

"What happened when she came to tuition?"

Dev smirked as she opened her notebook.

"That's a story for lunch."

Noah stared at her.

"You are unbelievably annoying."

"I know."

The teacher looked up.

"Do you girls have something to share with the class?"

"No, miss."

"Then pay attention."

Dev tried—and failed—to hide her grin.

Some stories were worth making people wait for.
