Beautiful and Emotional
"This is the kind of book full of difficulty but also beauty. Fully edited and finished, I think I'd buy it in a bookstore. It was written absolutely beautifully. There were only few mistakes, (the most common one was 'too' instead of 'to') and the whole thing made the reader feel the emotions the MC felt. I loved it. Well done!"
Grabbed my attention
"I enjoyed reading what you have written. The only negative I have was for me personally, that first chapter went on and on. I was thinking the chapter was going to end but then it didn't. That being said, I still enjoyed what you wrote very much. Love the picture you used for your cover also. This sounds like a lot of personal experience which I feel makes the best writing. That's how I write and my story is all my life except of course for the killing part. Ha. I really enjoyed your work. I look forward to reading more!"
Mistakes that make me, me
"This is the kind of story where the chapters flow together because you don't want to stop reading. It is so powerful you have to know in fact almost forced to know what is going to happen next. Honest, strong, great writing and above all entertaining! What more could anybody ask for in a great read. Knowing Christine personally has made this all the more special because of the strong woman she is now! Great job Christine! Oh yes and hurry up with Chapter 5."
Loved it and hated it as well
"You write very well. There were a few grammatical errors here and there but not a lot, and the plot sucked me in life an industrial vacuum cleaner. For goodness sake, this isn't even my least favoured genre. You are clearly evil to be able to manipulate my thoughts the way you did. Loved your characters and the plot line was horribly logical. the old definition of tragedy as being something that boded ugly yet was going to play out regardless, kept coming back to me while i read your material. Great work. Beautifully done. Minimal grammar and spelling errors, and I can't even pick on the few that were there because i know how many i commit myself when trying to hit a work count target. A great description of a teenage heartbreak
"This story took me back to my younger years, I think many of us girls have met someone who broke our hearts where we felt used or abandoned. That just says how well the story was written. The author weaves a gripping tale which is definitely worth a read!"
An Authentic Feel
"The author's voice is the so natural and authentic that it was easy to fall into the scene of the story and surroundings, as if becoming one of the main character's buddies. I will say that the plot of the story could be stronger with more disciplined structure; for example, focusing on the actions that lead to the character's downward spiral, and trimming some of the details that do not forward the momentum. The story feels rushed in places where important things occur to change the dynamic. The title of this story caught my eye and made me smile. A great theme of any coming-of-age is how we learn from our mistakes, and while there are heartbreaking moments in this story, it is often the worst events in our personal history that make us who we are. I think this story has lots of potential to develop into a strong, stream-of-consciousness sort of novel."
