Started very well, descended into a weird, spiritual, supernatural trope mixed with nonsense
"This book is not complete. Throughout my read one main thing keeps echoing; to have Ava compliant and defeated from the beginning, Gideon et al would only have needed to threaten Ava’s brother who is still apparently unconscious in a hospital bed and easily accessible to harm and attacks from enemies. Tha same brother Ava agreed to become a contract bride to protect and ensure continuity of finance for his care. He is never mentioned again and on that foundation this novel has a serious flaw."
