The View
"A pulsing combo of Romance and Spice. Hot encounters in a zingy, sensual, natural way: “a breathless melody of sensation.” These encounters are combined with explosive revelations as the story refreshingly works tropes like the mature second chance and the secret child- well, in this case, twins. Background stories for the leads, Sienna and Cody, are integrated seamlessly. There is a well-rounded secondary cast. And the potential wrecking debris in Vanessa: “Five foot eight of mathematical perfection, designed to be wanted...” A woman who believes “the world was split into predators who collected trophies and fools who believed in fairytales.” She’s intent on Cody. Enjoy crisp dialogue, vibrant settings and snappy, pacy chapters full of a musical, neo-soul cadence that creates a defining, unique unpinning beat. Book One of a trilogy. So, plenty more to look forward to. Highly recommended to add to your reading list. "
Dropping the Needle on a Major New Voice in Romance!
"After posting my first review below, I am amending it according to the new, revamped version. Through a quick skim read after reading the first version, it is so much easier to scroll through. I agree with the changes, which add more pacing to sections compared to reading it before in a paragraph. The emotion and spice now seep through. Well done - giving the readers romance, relationship/family drama, and a lot of spicy scenes. Ending with a cliffhanger and looking forward to the next book! ********************************************************************************************************* Previous review: The View is a highly engaging, emotionally dense, and beautifully paced contemporary romance. It successfully breathes new life into the "second chance" and "secret baby" tropes by wrapping the narrative in a distinct, rhythm-driven, neo-soul aesthetic. The thematic transition from a rigid corporate world to deep domestic intimacy feels organic, and the emotional stakes remain consistently high from Chapter 1 to the final sequence of Chapter 27. It functions beautifully as an addictive, high-octane series opener that leaves readers desperate for the next instalment. One encouraging tip to elevate the next draft: You did a brilliant job expanding the story into three distinct points of view (Sienna, Cody, and Vanessa). To make their voices stand out even more, try giving each one a unique vocabulary "filter." For example, keep Sienna grounded in sharp finance metrics, push Cody into structural corporate phrasing, and filter Vanessa through cold, transactional vanity. This will make the friction between their perspectives hit the reader even harder!"

"I wasn’t ready for this to be over. I feel like there is so much more to be discovered here. I know this is a trilogy, but from your description of the next 2 books, it makes me question if you will bring out closure for this one. Also, I have questions. First, being a bassist myself, I like how you write as if there is a rhythm to your story. However, I don’t know if that is for everyone, would they understand? Also, in some places you would put “bassline” and in others you put “baseline”. Maybe it is due to the autocorrect changing it to the latter...? I believe the usage is creative if you actually meant it as “bass line”. In my experience, while the “bass line” is seldom fully heard, it brings out a deeper foundation, which, in the case of your storyline, it brings out a deeper meaning. Also, in some chapters, you put a standalone keyword before using that keyword in a sentence. In other chapters, the keyword came after the sentence. I’m just curious about the thought process here. It was only in some chapters, not all. So was it truly relevant to how the story is told? To all of this I would like to add that you stay true to how you want the story written. Don’t let someone like me change that. I gave the ratings I did for the reasons above (my lack of understanding...?). It doesn’t change how invested I am in this story. I am ready for book 2. Keep going!!!"

"This was a captivating and beautifully written opening that immediately pulled me into Sienna's life, blending grief, mystery, and undeniable chemistry in a way that felt both emotional and intriguing. I especially loved the mature tone, vivid descriptions, and the slow-building tension, and I'm excited to see where Sienna and the mysterious stranger's story leads next."
