Ultimate Republic Of The Brains: Reborn (Flashback Version)

Darkness… Nothing, but darkness… That is how it all began and, honestly, it seems many want it to return to that way. Suddenly, out of the darkness shone a bright light. Water fell from the sky, splashing and falling upon the land, glittering in the new found light.

Green… Growth of all sorts sprung forth, covering the land. Then? Life continued to expand. Creatures of all sorts came into being. Then, the humans came.

The sun rose and set many times and life continued to expand. Yes… Our story began so long ago… For some time, there was peace. Then there wasn’t. Turmoil began that one fateful day that the fruit of ultimate knowledge was discovered…

“The fruit! It’s the fruit of ultimate knowledge! I just KNOW it!” one person cried out.

“What are you talking about? There could be no such thing,” another replied.

“They say that one bite will greatly enhance the intelligence of the eater! If one were to eat the full fruit, can you imagine the bountiful knowledge one would possess?!” the first declared.

“Aye… If it were true…” the other murmured.

Like a wild fire, rumor spread! Everyone and everything with sentience heard of this mythical fruit… Long, long, ago, this fruit was said to have been locked away. After Adam and Eve consumed it, nobody else was allowed to eat it. Yet, many who heard of its rediscovery had the audacity to think THEY could have this ultimate knowledge…

“WHERE is the fruit? You said you found it, right?” the second asked.

“I could not get close, but I do know where it is! Lean in close, I will tell you…” the first said with a malicious smirk.

As quickly as the rumor of the fruit’s existence spread, rumors of it’s whereabouts also sprang forth! Everyone spoke of it. Everyone listened in, learning of the location of the ultimate knowledge. EVERYONE, even the smallest MOUSE wanted that fruit, and everyone would stop at NOTHING to get it.

Some said, “We should make sure everyone has some so that we all can become smarter!”

Others said, “No, only the most powerful people deserve knowledge as those who are not in control do not need to be smarter.”

Yet another insisted, “Only one person should have all the fruit and that everyone should bow to their will as they will have the ultimate knowledge!”

Things took a turn for the worst… Conditions rapidly decayed. Hundreds of thousands of people arose and went to the place where the fruit was rumored to be. Here, they found a massive oasis, flowing with long green grass more vibrant than any they had EVER seen before. There, in the middle of it all, was The Tree Of Knowledge. The entrance was heavily guarded, however, and no one could simply walk in.

“Tell the others,” Satan hissed. “Whomever is the strongest, and most worthy, can get past the guards and have the fruit! But you must prove your worth!”

With that, the people took up arms against each other. Even those who never would have acted so violently before! People forged swords, weapons for battle! Turmoil took over and they began attacking each other over the forbidden fruit just beyond the wall…

At that moment, far more deaths were occurring than births. The total population across not just humans, but all sentient species began to drop drastically! As the death totals continued to climb and nobody had earned the fruit, some realized something must be done. An effort to stop the war began!

There were four individuals who had no desire for the forbidden fruit. They were devastated by the war and the ever increasing body piled. The four were Belle, Clover, Rose, and Leaf. They didn’t know then, but they would be the start of something so much bigger!

Belle had wanted to see if maybe people would be willing to give up fighting for something of similar value. She offered gemstones and relics to anyone who agreed to stop fighting…but many turned down her offers of wealth. Clover wanted to distract people with the idea of building a grand society rather than murdering everyone in sight. No, people wanted their strength to go towards fighting for fruit rather than to build a civilization that would last for ages.

Then there was Rose who tried to appeal to people’s emotions. She proclaimed love over hate, helping one another rather than tearing people apart. No, the people still wanted to fight, not help each other. Last, but not least, there was Leaf… Leaf wasn’t quite like the other three.

Leaf had decided that the only way to end the war was to eliminate the most violent among the people, locking them away in another dimension where they could not hurt anyone anymore. She carried a mighty blade, a sword that would not kill, but would seal others away… Gradually, the fighting began to taper off, but that was partially because there was less people left alive. It was the beginning of the end of the war…but the war never would truly end…

“No one should have the fruit as none are worthy. Only one pure of heart should have the ultimate knowledge for all else will use it for evil,” Rose declared.

Another wave of chaos erupted. More people heard about the war and had traveled across the world to join in. As the war reached its climax, a huge beam of light shine down and everyone was blown away! Someone or something had come to end the war…

Enter a golden yellow mouse with a red heart on its forehead and green-ish paws holding two daggers. It is Dagger Mouse! Using great power, Dagger created a seal around the fruit of knowledge so nobody could reach it. The entrance to the fruit was sealed with heavy magic…

Moreover, the fruit of ultimate knowledge was placed in a dimension of its own where nobody could find it! Then, all who fought and survived were punished… The four heroes, Belle, Clover, Rose, and Leaf were rewarded for their valiant efforts to end the war, their names written down in history! The war was over, or, at least, postponed… Dagger faded from everyone’s minds and nobody thought of him again…
