"This is a great story that focuses on Evelyn Kain’s attempt to continue on her father’s footsteps, career wise. She works in a lab, for a doctor who seems a bit sketchy, whom she suspects having had something to do with her father’s death. What struck me most about these first six chapters is the incredible emotional range you’ve managed to pack into the narrative. You’ve given us a bit of everything: genuinely fun moments that break the tension, soft and cute character interactions, and heavy beats that hit right in the chest. The intrigue had me guessing and wondering and definitely wanting for more. It’s such a light and intense read! I will definitely stay tuned for more."
