Summary

For centuries, magical creatures have lived hidden among humans. Not in distant kingdoms. Not behind castles. They live next door. A secret town called Moonhollow exists behind a magical veil. Fairies, dragons, witches, mermaids, shape-shifters, dryads, and other mythical beings have built a peaceful community hidden from the human world. The veil is failing. Magic is fading. No one knows why. Meanwhile, a newly graduated fairy named Elara Thorne begins her first nursing job at a children's hospital. She dreamed of working in the NICU, helping babies enter the world. Instead, she is assigned to pediatric oncology. Every death breaks her heart. Every loss steals a little more of her light. But she has a secret. Before a child dies, she visits them alone. She reveals her wings. She tells them about the magical world waiting beyond the veil. The dragons. The mermaids. The unicorns. The forests that sing. The stars that bloom like flowers. The children always pass peacefully. Smiling. The staff calls it coincidence. The parents call it a miracle. Nobody knows the truth. Until she meets one patient.
