Summary

When the ocean begins to give back what it has swallowed, the world does not understand what it is seeing at first. Ships return without warning. Entire coastal towns appear offshore as if they had simply drifted back from nowhere. Then come the people. Not bones, not remains, but living men and women pulled from centuries of drowning, each one arriving exactly as they were in the moment they were lost.
