THIS IS A THREAT TO SANITY 😜
""If someone had told me that a chapter could successfully transition from a lizard committing a tactical war crime in a bowl of tomato soup to a mother conducting a literal Wall Street performance audit on her teenage son's life, I would have called security. But here we are. This whole thing is an absolute fever dream. The absolute audacity of this gecko to dive belly-first into scorching hot soup, scream in agony, and still have the presence of mind to pull off a flawless "YOINK!" and sprint away with a cheerleader's pizza slice is the kind of chaotic energy I wake up for. Heather’s response isn't just a regular scream; her vocal cords literally manifest supersonic, glass-shattering powers that explode a random substitute teacher's cherry juice chalice. Why does a substitute teacher have a chalice of cherry juice in a public high school cafeteria? Why is Nicholas standing there cupping his forehead, completely unbothered, just vibing because his stomach is full of "clownish tomato paste"? Nobody knows! The social hierarchy collapses so fast that graffiti artists instantly rename the school after Nicholas and everyone abandons math class just to draw giant geckos on the whiteboards. But the absolute peak of this madness is the phone call with "The Wind Empress." Sarah Shepard deserves a spot in the Bad Parenting Hall of Fame, not because she’s mean, but because she talks to her son like he’s a failing tech startup. She is actively auditing his life metrics, looking at his viral lizard video as "peak organic marketing," and screaming about his negative ROI and lackluster rushing yards. Nicholas is completely delusional, demanding a runway model valet to keep his social momentum going, only for his mom to drop the ultimate, soul-crushing nuke: "I only do REAL FOOTBALL buddy!" Calling your own kid "buddy" while eviscerating his football stats is a level of psychological damage you can't recover from. No wonder the chapter ends with him screaming expletives and aggressively hanging up the phone.""
Wow what a franchise
"Sarah Shepard is intriguing. Successful arguably because of nepotism. She evidently has some sort of past history with Melody Arthur. Shepard is displeased by her teenage son, Nicholas and his infatuation with geckos. Crystal Welch is "Machiavelli Approved" and Yuki Goda is the halfway orphan kid that is the son of Sarah's Japanese boss. It's an interesting read with a world that feels compelling. "
