Prologue
"You're my first and my last love, doll," Zyane breathed out, his hands clutching Evan's desperately.
"That's the only truth I know--the only law I follow," He stared at Evan, even when the latter looked away from him, noticing the way a stray tear fell down Evan's cheek.
His lips tilted up in a small smile, before he let the hand go, painfully. Blinking his tears away, he finally whispered, "And if you find it impossible to love me back.. I'll disappear. I won't show my face to you--would never breath the same air as you."
Those words were a sharp blow to Evan's ribs. His hands twitched against his sides, breath coming out in ragged rasps.
Zyane continued, "Just know, that a man is existing somewhere--with his heart beating your name till the end of this world."
