"This was a very intriguing science fiction story that deals with themes about the meaning of life and free will. It's in a similar vein to the story of Terminator and the struggle between humanity and Skynet. Kai, the story's protagonist, reads like a relatable teenager thrust into circumstances beyond his control and forced to become a hero whether he likes it or not. All that being said, the story could still use some polishing. Several chapters are word for word repeats of one another, and the resolution at the end of the story is rather abrupt and unsatisfying. I still enjoyed it very much and believe it can be improved upon in future drafts."
