Barely enough space
Just enough space
Is not this man-made abomination
Considered a forest, rather
Or do they grow like students
Rows, straight and even
Desks, with just enough space
Barely enough space
Is this not a man-made abomination
Yet, who asks how the trees feel
Year after year they produce
Who thanks them for their yield
When they are purposely grown
Purposely placed
Rows, straight and even
Barely enough space
Just enough space
No thanks, only silence.
