Unfortunately, she makes contact with her former lover Niko. Gorgeous with perfect dimples he tries his best to seduce Selina again. But Selena remembers the pains from the past. She isn't quite ready to hand her heart over to him again ...and possibly may never will be. This is one of those stories where you can't help but feel deeply for the protagonist. Author V. Vale shows us glimpses of Selena's heartbroken pain, yet none of the reasons why she is so disturbed by Niko. I know the explanation for Selena's distrust is coming. I'm already on Chapter Six (I don't care what the Chapter Counter says. It's rarely accurate) but I must admit to feeling a little frustrated at not knowing this crucial detail yet. The novel is beautifully written. V. Vale has a gift for poetic language, and I almost feel like I'm on vacation with Selena as she describes the beauty of the islands and ocean water. A wonderfully, thoughtful novel. I'm just dying to know how Selena's heart was broken in the past. "
A lovely read
"A very heartwarming story set on a gorgeous Greek island. It immediately draws you in, as the opening chapters seamlessly alternate between the beautiful moments of their present and the deep mystery of what happened between the main characters in the past. Niko and Selina obviously share a complicated history—one packed with beautiful, happy memories, but also a darker side. What exactly happened between them? You'll have to read to find out!"
