Precision Meets Unease
"Great writing. Everything revolves around precision and rhythm, and the prose reflects that beautifully. I love the premise, and the pacing is impeccable, giving every scene a sense of purpose without ever feeling rushed. The author captures the chilling, uneasy atmosphere incredibly well, building tension in subtle ways that keep you on edge. It's one of those stories that quietly pulls you in and refuses to let go."
Immersive!
"The plot captured my attention from the first page. The chemistry between the two detectives is well written - try both have different ways of investigating these crimes and I enjoyed seeing how they play off of one another. Every chapter is detail-oriented with sweeping descriptions of the setting. I can feel the characters in it, hear what they hear, see what they see. Some of the technological bits feel a bit too advanced for the year (I'm a relic of that timeframe) but I can suspend disbelief. Regardless, this book is a cinematic experience. #icbc"
The Autopsy of Mind
"I'm only on chapter 5 so I will edit this review later once I've completed the story. But, so far, the story is very intriguing. Each chapter builds on the suspense of the previous one and takes it to new heights. The imagery you've crafted with your writing style is extremely vivid and captivating. This is an exciting mystery that I can't wait to read more of! #ICBC"
Mystery and math
"From what I've read so far, this book is such an addictive read! Every chapter keeps you hooked with clever twists, constant suspense, and a villain who always seems one step ahead. I love the mix of mystery, engineering, and psychological tension—it feels unique and incredibly well thought out. Looking forward to reading more!"
Five star read- compelling and addictive
"Autopsy of Mind is an addictive experience from the get-go. It will linger in your mind in between reading sessions, tempting you to return and uncover the mystery with detectives Julian and Claire. The writer really knows how to set a tone, making the story an immersive journey where the reader follows the detectives as they work together to solve the mystery of the Maestro who threatens the entire city. The author's writing style is high-quality with engrossing prose and imagery combined with pacing that has natural precision. The riveting storyline and action, along with the author's skills, made the story completely addicting and difficult to step away from in between reading sessions. # ICBC"
🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔
"This isn’t just a typical psychological thriller; it’s a study of obsession. The author masterfully uses architecture and sound to build a claustrophobic world where the city becomes an antagonist just as dangerous as 'The Maestro.' The writing style is forensically precise, and the way it weaves together mathematics, music, and crime creates an atmosphere I rarely encounter in this genre. If you’re looking for a story that will force you to question the line between order and madness, this is a must-read."
Great Mystery/Thriller Writing
"As someone who loves reading mysteries and crime stories this one definitely has a strong opening. The writing and characters do make you think and question things which adds to the fun of reading this. It's also feels like a novel set up and context which is always nice to read. "
You can feel the gears turning!
"The first thing that struck me was the atmosphere! Every scene is described in such a way and with just enough details for us to basically exist in the same room! Generally, I got a cyberpunk feeling without the story being sci-fi! No idea how Corvus managed that but, really impressive! The chapters are small and easily digestable, too, making this story perfect for someone to binge! Good chance I end up coming back to this one!"
Your mind will need an autopsy after it's blown by this novel!
"The Autopsy of the mind definitely lives up to its name. The novel starts right in the middle of the action, where you meet one of the coolest Steampunk vibe villians getting ready to destroy the city with a tuning fork (which, coincidentally, is what the medical examiner will probably use to dissect our minds in the autopsy). The writing is enticing and immediately pulls you into the action, leaving you guessing at every turn of the page. The characters are brilliantly written and the dialogue and the descriptions are beautifully carven, leaving a delectable final meal for our brains before the autopsy. The villian is so unique and reminds me of someone that Batman would fight (the highest compliment I could ever give), and the detectives definitely are up to following in the Dark Knight's footsteps. This book is an awesome read that will keep you guessing, and will leave your mind totally warped and forked, and you'll love every minute of it. #IC10"
A Mystery That Pulls You In
"The Autopsy of Mind has made a strong first impression. From the opening pages, the atmosphere is eerie, immersive, and full of intrigue. I especially enjoy how the author gradually builds the mystery, revealing just enough to keep me asking questions without giving too much away. The blend of psychological suspense, history, and investigative elements creates a unique reading experience, and the writing paints vivid scenes that are easy to imagine."
The Autopsy of Mind
"This gave me strong Inferno vibes! Just because of how it turned out in the end. But this is such a unique, gripping story. Definitely one of my favorites from an independent writer. You did an amazing job crafting something so compelling! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
The Maestro Made Me Lose My Mind (In the Best Way)
"Delivered exactly what its title promises: it makes you forget everything you thought you knew, chapter by chapter, until you’re left staring at the wall and questioning reality right alongside Julian. Brilliantly written doesn’t even begin to cover it. I screamed more than once because I genuinely couldn’t believe what was happening, and then I started questioning everything. When the clues began pointing inward, I went into full-on denial. I kept flipping back, rereading, and trying to piece it all together. And a very special mention to Claire’s flashlight. 🔦"
Absolute nail-biter!
"I couldn't put this down! The cat-and-mouse chase with Detectives Claire and Julian hot on the Maestro’s trail keeps you hooked from the very beginning. The suspense is relentless, packed with shocking scenes that genuinely caught me off guard. What really elevated this thriller for me was the psychological depth. Julian’s unique way of perceiving everything around him adds a fascinating layer to the investigation, and the sheer complexity behind the Maestro makes him an incredibly compelling villain. If you love complex characters and high-stakes tension, this is a MUST READ!"
The story was great!!
"I really like the story the charachter buikt and story lining was great it has the potential but i guess its too rushed. But overall i really enjoyed it. There were many fav parts of the story which i can't say so that it won't spoil for others. Overall i highly recommended others to read this its fun psychological thriller story to read. "
OMGGG!!! the book is damn amazing
"I have completed this book in one sitting the Maestro and Julian character are really well written. I have liked how it focuses on psychological depth and I have loved the words of the author at the end of the book . Its hard to find an author that gives their own views on the book especially on the psychology topic . The book was short and on point there were no boring chapter or extended for no reason chapter . The starting itself was captivating . Will look forward for your books . Loved your writing style . I cant spoil it but I loved the clock tower scene where you can see maestro , the detective and her father al together . damn that was my favourite scene in the book. All the best for you next works."
Richly Immersive Experience
"The author has a very distinctive writing style that immediately submerges you into their world, with a unique focus on sound and architectural engineering that I haven’t seen in other stories. A truly one-of-kind experience. #ICBC"
Let the games begin.
"Love the cat and mouse game plot of the detectives chasing the bad guy! The opening scene is intriguing but I found the writing style is a little jarring here and there. While a terse narrative suites mystery/ thrillers, adding some meat, allowing the moment to breathe, and variation in sentence structures sure helps with the flow. Having said that, the sprinkling of humour really does stand out. "
Very intriguing, extremely mysterious and unexpected
"I loved the plot, it was very engaging, suspenseful and shocking! The development is definitely unexpected, which is one of the best qualities for a mystery. The rhythm between Claire and Julian is also very lovely and strong, true partners. I do feel like the language is a little robotic, with too many noun-based descriptions, compound adjectives, and expositions with "this wasn't x, it was y" style, which didn't leave me feeling the author's authenticity was preserved. I also don't understand why there are so many people with Vance last name :) In any case, this is an interesting and a strong plot, the author has a strong capacity of creating mystery and devise plot that keeps readers on toes."
Detailed perfection
" I'm only one chapter in and I'm blown away. The writing style is perfect — rich and complexly detailed without feeling overwritten. It's interesting, immersive, and it brings the world to life immediately. This feels like the start of something really special. #ICBC"
