Really conflicted about this book
"Promising beginning. The central idea of this book is good. However, the story is disjointed, constantly backtracks itself, and events are rewritten so that the previous 15 chapters don’t even exist. A simple thing like how she finds a token from her mother is completely contradicted three chapters later with an entirely new origin story. Very frustrating. Major characters, intrinsic to the storyline interact and then meet each other again like it was the first time 16 chapters later. Feels like trying to read a translated book from another language or like someone cut and pasted pages with wild abandon. I’m not exactly sure what AI assisted means but if that is the editing tool, it is a failure. It’s a shame. "

"This story is different. It is definitely not an easy story to read. There are also a few discrepancies that I noticed. In the first few chapters, Morvena is at the castle where she sees Nira. Several chapters in, she is arriving at the castle during a storm and seems like she is just meeting Nira for the first time. Also, when she finds the silver token in the middle of the book, it was found in a different place than in the last chapter. Kail learned about the token when she found it the first time. In the last chapter he's just learning about it. Also in the last chapter it seems like she's had the token longer than she has. There are several chapters were scenes change without warning, which is confusing. I'm going to continue with reading the series because you have a good plot and it is interesting. "
