Chapter 1
SCHOOL OF DEATH — INTRO / SUMMARY
If you think your school is stressful… try going to one where breaking the rules doesn’t get you detention—
It gets you hunted.
Zara Cole never asked for a new life.
All she wanted was a normal school, normal friends, and maybe—just maybe—a drama-free semester.
Instead, she gets transferred to Blackridge Academy.
A place that looks perfect on the outside…
…but feels wrong the second you step inside.
The students don’t smile.
The teachers don’t care.
And the rules?
They don’t protect you.
They warn you.
Never stay after 6 PM. If the bell rings three times—hide. If you see a red badge… run.
At first, Zara thinks it’s all some twisted joke.
Until the first bell rings.
Until the first scream echoes.
Until a student disappears right in front of her—and everyone pretends it never happened.
That’s when she realizes the truth:
Blackridge Academy isn’t a school.
It’s a game.
A brutal, secret system designed to test students in ways no one would survive… unless they become something darker, smarter, and more dangerous than everyone else.
Trust is a weakness.
Friendships are temporary.
And survival?
That comes at a cost.
As Zara is forced deeper into the nightmare, she uncovers secrets that change everything—
A hidden control room watching every move.A headmaster who controls life and death like it’s a game board.A best friend who might betray her at any moment. And a past she never knew… linking her directly to the creation of it all.
Because Zara wasn’t just chosen to attend Blackridge Academy.
She was chosen for something much bigger.
Something far more dangerous.
Now, with enemies closing in, deadly challenges ahead, and the truth threatening to destroy her, Zara has only two choices:
Play the game…
Or burn it to the ground.
But in a place where survival means losing yourself—
The real question is:
How far is she willing to go… before she becomes the very thing she’s trying to destroy?
Welcome to Blackridge Academy.
You don’t graduate here.
You survive.
…if you’re lucky.
