Dont stop...

"What impresses me most isn't the Carnival itself—it's how much the story has evolved since Chapter 1. What begins as a mysterious encounter in the Maine wilderness gradually unfolds into something far richer: a story about belonging, identity, found family, purpose, and the cost of choosing a new path. The strongest aspect of the novel so far is the character work. Kellan remains consistently authentic throughout the journey. He reacts like a real person would—curious, awkward, sarcastic, hopeful, frightened, and occasionally overwhelmed. That grounded perspective keeps the fantastical elements believable. The world-building is another highlight. Rather than overwhelming the reader with exposition, the Carnival reveals itself layer by layer. By Chapter 13, it feels less like a setting and more like a living society with its own traditions, responsibilities, and secrets. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give is that the story has grown in confidence. Early chapters focused on wonder and mystery. Later chapters trust the characters and relationships to carry the narrative, and that is where the book truly shines. Thirteen chapters in and it's clear you're building something with real heart. The Carnival is imaginative and memorable, but it's the people within it that keep me reading. You've taken the time to let relationships develop naturally, and the emotional moments land because they're earned. Most importantly, each chapter feels like it has purpose—revealing just enough to satisfy readers while leaving them curious for more. Keep trusting your story and your characters. They are carrying the journey very well, and I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing where Kellan's path leads next."
