Yes, this is officially my first romance story and first book on Inkitt!
I usually write horror stories, mysteries, and darker-themed books, so stepping into the world of romance is a completely new experience for me. Because of that, this story may not be perfect, but I have put a lot of effort, imagination, and love into creating it.
As someone who enjoys watching K-dramas, I was inspired by the beautiful emotions, memorable characters, and heart-fluttering moments they often contain. I hope some of that inspiration finds its way into these pages as well.
If romance isn’t your favorite genre or if this story isn’t your cup of tea, that’s completely okay! I simply ask that you be kind and respectful. Every writer starts somewhere, and this is my very first step into writing a romance novel.
(2) This Story is Written in First Person
This story follows the journey of Princess Chelsea and is written entirely from her point of view.
I chose to write in first person because I wanted readers to experience the story through Chelsea’s eyes—to feel her happiness, fears, excitement, heartbreak, and every emotion in between. Rather than simply watching her story unfold, I hope you’ll feel as though you’re living it alongside her.
I’m not very confident when it comes to writing emotional scenes in third person, so I felt that first person would allow me to connect both with the character and with the readers in a more personal way.
Who knows? Maybe while reading, you’ll feel like a royal princess experiencing her very first love story.
