Chapter 1

Chapter 1* her pov*

Go listen “tum hi ho bandhu” along

So today is the day. Today I’ll finally leave. I stood infront of my apartment locking it as fast as I could cause it’s been a month I’ve not taken an off and a whole year I haven’t gone back to my home.

--

The flight is about to land when my body trembles to the view of Amritsar.

A holy place , my hometown but not my home still, after all these years if somebody asks me if I miss this city then i think my answer won’t be yes.

I miss the people , not this stupid city. I exit the airport in search of a cab- “welcome back bbyyyy!!!!” I look back and it’s her.

My bestfriend.my everything.

“Oh I missed you so much!” we hug eachother tightly and god i swear I missed this.

Looks like I’m actually back home.

“Tu akeli ayi hai tara?” I ask her when I see there’s noone around

“Haan, yaha se sidha resort leke jaungi apko” no way! “nahi Pehle ghar chor de muhje bhai-“

“Shaadi kiski hai? Meri. Dulhan kon hai? Main. Toh decide kon karega main. Chalo aap chup chap!”she screams in baby voice,

”ajao na ayra didi” like i can say no to her but my family will kill me .

“see I really need to meet my family first, I promise I’ll check in tomorrow”

I say as I hold her cute face in my palms. “okay” and then we drive to my house . “I truly can’t believe you’re getting married” I whisper getting inside the car, tara looks at me and murmurs “vese i can’t believe you are still not married” and we both laugh “are Yaar I just turned 28 aur abhi bohot kuch karna ilava shaadi ke” I say with a smile

“haan haan okay madam.”

Tara and me were busmates for like 5 years and became bestfriends in those years. When my own people betrayed me ,her shoulder was my homage. Eventhough she is 3 years younger than me , I never felt misunderstood nor I had to act like a big sister but all I’ve ever been with her is myself.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
