Chapter 1
Ellie Williams a 16 year old teenager was still up. It was midnight but Ellie was busy on her laptop.
As she is sitting at her desk her fingers are typing on the keyboard.
Her phone goes off, turning her head shaw Zoey pop up on her screen. Zoey Parker Ellie's best friend. Technically her only friend. She wasn't very popular quiet and 'odd' as most people describe her.
She answers the call, "Zoey, didn't think someone else would be up right now" she continues typing while focused on her laptop.
"Ellie..." Zoey's tone immediately betrayed her as Ellie could hear she was drunk. "Wait, where are you?"
"Oh just a partyyy" Zoey responded.
Ellie sighs, she knew Zoey was reckless always getting herself in trouble. "You're sixteen and you're drinking?"
"Yes, please don't tell my parents alright, Turtle?" Zoey used Ellie's special nickname.
Ellie shakes her head feeling like she should tell Zoey's parents but she wasn't going to get Zoey into trouble. "You know I won't, just please don't do anything more reckless."
"Um, Ellie can you maybe come and get me I think I got one too many" and there it was the reason she was calling.
Eliie shuts her laptop, she really dislikes parties much too noisy and too crowded she preferred being alone in her room writing on her laptop. But it was Zoey her best friend and she would do anything for Zoey.
Yes even go to sketchy parties. She grabs her car keys puts on some comfy hoodie and some neat jeans. She grabs her black All-Star Converse and put them on.
Leaving her room she put on some light goes down the stairs trying to be silent she didn't wanted to wake up her parents and little sister.
As soon as she exits the door to go outside she runs over to her car. A slightly older silver Toyota Corolla, the car she got after passing her driver's test. It's her mom's old car.
Ellie's silver Toyota Corolla had over 180,000 kilometers on it and made a weird rattling sound whenever she turned on the air conditioning.
She loved it anyway. Getting in she turns on the engine and carefully maneuvers out of the spot at the side of the road. She was determined to get over to Zoey as soon as possible. Her phone's GPS leads her to the place the party was at.
After about 9 minutes she arrives the place was a spot in the woods. She parks her car exits it and grabs her phone turning on her flashlight. "Oh Zoey what danger have you put yourself in this time?" she mutters to herself and stick snaps underneath her Converse the woods were dark, she could catch a glimpse of a bonfire. "Oof" she gasps as she bumps into a shirtless guy
She lifts her head. The guy was tall and definitely high. She wonders if Zoey had taken any of those drugs. "Have you seen a teenage girl she's 16, about this tall she lifts her hand a bit higher than her head as Zoey was slightly taller than Ellie, she usually wears skirts and tops, dresses very expressive, maybe even a bit revealing, has dark blonde, long, wavy hair." Gere she was speaking to a creepy guy with a disgusting smile on his face it creeped her out.
"Maybe I have, maybe I haven't" the creepy guy replies he was much older than her or Zoey about eighteen maybe even older.
Ellie sighs, she tries to get past him but he stops her. "I tell you what, you come and drink something with me and my pals and maybe then I can tell if I saw that girl, deal?" he smirks
Ellie knew this was dangerous, she wasn't naïve wasn't going to go with him. "No, I'll just keep looking" people would be surprised Ellie Williams talking? Not a lot of people have heard her talk much before. "And efinitely not to a stranger"
"Oh come on, Girly it'll be fun"
the guy gets closer to her but she backs away and runs away from him.
Ellie kept searching, and then she saw Zoey throwing up into some bushes. "Zoey" Ellie rushes over to her and holds Zoey's hair back as her best friend keeps puking her guts out.
"Turtle, you came" Zoey slurs swaying
"Of course I came, come on, let's get you home" she gently but firmly holds Zoey's hand as she leads her out of the woods.
